BAT Community Connector News

Hello I would like to share with you with my permission is a photo I took of BAT Community connector (Bangor ME) 

2004 Gillig Phantom 30’ parked at the community connector bus maintance facility in Bangor Maine  photo Taken on 7-9-17

this was an Ex MCAT Transit Bus out of florida 

the community connector is going to renumber the bus but that’s TBA 

and this bus has been on community Connector property since June of 2017 and there in the process of getting it ready for service 

with my permission to add this photo to the roster 

 

and another note bangor Community connector just received another 2003 New Flyer D35LF bus 0321 arrived in June of 2017 here’s a photo of it with my permission to add it to the roster the photo was taken on  6-28-17

and also our other 1996 Orion V Bus 43 has retired from revenue service in June of 2017

and our other 1996 Orion V bus 44 is still active and will retire in September of 2017

Hello I have another photo of the ex MCAT Phantom 

it is renumbered 0445 this bus is parked at the community connector bus maintance yard

I happend to find this memo on the city of bangor Maine’s website it looks like Bangor’s going to purchase 5 Gillig 29’ Buses for next year in 2018  to replace the 5 2002 Orion V buses that we gotten in 2012 from the Westchester county NY beeline system buses

I'll have to watch the city's Finance Committee video in the coming Wednesday.  If it gets approved, this info will be added to the Wiki.

Also, your photo of 0321 will not be used in a fleet page as I found out it's vertically long.  A cropped shot of it will be acceptable.

This here is the city council meeting from September 11th and it mentions the community Connector in bangor Maine and in the council minutes that states that the city council has approved to piggy back off the state of Connecticut transit bus order to purchase 5 Brand new Gillig 29’ Diesel Buses

And the bus superintendent of the community Connector will be putting in the purchase order 

The next order of buses will be replacing the 5 2002 Orion V 30’ Buses that the Community Connector got in 2012 From the Westchester County Beeline system

Even though you cropped the photo, it turned out to be of low quality, which is the reason I didn't bother uploading it.

Bangors 2 2017 Gillig 29’ Gillig Advantage Buses 1743 and 1744 gotten delivered  to the community Connector bus operations facility on 9/18/17. And also another note the 2 Gillig Buses have recently been put on the active roster and the Buses can be put into revenue service at anytime

Above I provided a photo of one of Community Connector 2017 Gillig 29’ Bus 1743 the Photo was taken on summer st in Bangor Maine on 9/29/17 you have my permission to upload it to the wiki 

but I don’t know the Vin number on both buses 

but I know the plate number to 1743 it’s 426.693 if that helps
