Wiki Fixes - Report Any Problems

Recommended Posts

We've just fixed an issue on the Wiki related to special characters.

While we believe everything is 100% functional, there may be some pages with issues. If you encounter any problems, please let us know here.

Thanks for your patience while we worked to resolve the issue.

It appears the Prevost page is gone.

Thanks. Hopefully that's just the only one affected! We'll work to restore that one...

Restored the Prevost Car page. There are a few anomalies but hopefully nothing too major is encountered now!

A few anomalies with various Vancouver pages -

The following pages say "does not exist" depending on which page it is being accessed from but when accessed, they loop back to a different version of the page (i.e. the article "SkyTrain Canada Line" displays the page "SkyTrain Canada line" under the title "SkyTrain Canada Line"). I've included cached copies of the pages for reference:

(cached copy of the mobile page: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:_12RecAvhgIJ:https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php%3Ftitle%3DSkyTrain_Canada_Line%26mobileaction%3Dtoggle_view_mobile+&cd=3&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca)

(cached copy: N/A)

If this problem cannot be fixed (or if the cached copies for reference on Google have changed), that is okay as I can import as much from the cached copies I've saved onto the pages.

Anything after the redirect happened seems to have disappeared when this fix was done. This looks like the only option.

This is a very minor problem, but I've noticed it since the newer CPTDB platform kicked into play. The "{{accessible}}" logo is lower than it was before and will sometimes block words in the description. Is there any way to raise it back up to the title area like it was before? Example: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Dumbarton_Express_805-808

Another very minor problem similar to the "{{accesible}}" logo blocking text in my previous comment, this time it's the "{{WiFi}}" logo. Example: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Santa_Cruz_Metropolitan_Transit_District_1001-1005

I've made an edit to the WiFi template to move the image up, similar to how the template for the Accessible logo was done. Can you check if that height works?

That worked perfectly. Thank you!

Hi is this normal?

I tried searching for Stl on the mobile site and got this (both Stl  Levis and Laval)

Screenshot_20190919-204826_Chrome.thumb.jpg.17d1e96ae0ec2258f1805244f2ecafe7.jpg  Screenshot_20190919-211730_Chrome.thumb.jpg.9c5472e7a4953a56baac8619f79147db.jpg

Not "normal", but it isn't displaying the accented "e" properly given the character encoding. Interesting, thanks for bringing this up.

Admins are working on this, but does anyone have this issue as well?

Yes, this will happen while the service is unavailable. I tried to get one method working yesterday, but was unsuccessful. Might try another one today and hopefully that will work for good.

Hey @A. Wong, this has been an issue for a couple of months now but only now has it start to bother me. On mobile while viewing a wiki page, any image file that’s on the bottom of a wiki page will not open Unless you hold down on the image and open it in a new tab where it will bring you to the file page where you can tap on the image to view it in full.

here’s an example, scroll down to the bottom of the route 64 wiki page and tap any of the route maps. https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Ottawa-Carleton_Regional_Transit_Commission_route_64

Seems to be any images, actually, on that mobile theme. Are you seeing the same thing?

(Including fleet photos, agency logos, etc)

Looking at that now, it appears it applies to any image file.

Well, I found out what blocks it and I removed it, so all images are now "clickable" in the mobile view.

Thanks!
