University of Tennessee Knoxville The T shuttle

The T mentioned in this post is the internal shuttle system of University of Tennessee at Knoxville (Not to be confused with Forth Worth Transportation Authority at Fort Worth, Texas).  In my opinion, it has one of the sharpest livery among college shuttles in this country.

The smallest buses in The T's fleet are Chevy/Goshen GC II cutaways in the 8000 series used for the Link night time demand response service as well as the Access ADA service.  They are illustrated by 8357 on its intended use and 8843 as a football game standby vehicle.

Its purpose built shuttle buses are numbered in the 4200 series.  They are consisted of Eldorado low-floor buses of 2 models and 3 lengths with BRT styling, all new in 2013,  According to Ryan Tilley's list, buses 4223-4229 are EZ Rider II MAX 35ft.  They are represented by buses 4228 and 4229, the last 2 buses in the batch of 7.

The next 6 buses, numbered 4230-4235 are EZ Rider II MAX 32ft, as represented by buses 4231 and 4232.

Buses from 4236 onward are Axess 40ft.  They should have at least 4 of them, up to bus 4239 (included in my Flickr gallery),  Illustrated here are buses 4236 and 4237, the first two buses of this sub-fleet.

I'm guessing by the ElDorado fleet and the number series that these are operated by First Transit?

Yes, First Transit is indeed the contractor.  Its name is featured at the skirt panels of the cutaways just behind the driver and passenger doors.  Hope this answers your query.

I'm 99% sure that they came from DC. I have some screenshots taken from Street View at the garage.

Thanks for filling us in. Yeah those very likely came directly from Washington DC b/c of the livery and since I am not aware of 1144-45 ever being at clemson, only 1146,48-49. Not sure where 1147 went.
