Finnair a350-941 OH-LWG is seen on final approach to YYC. This is a leased plane to Eurowings Discover who started scheduling trips to and from Frankfurt in August. These would also be the first flights to Calgary with scheduled a350’s

I'll submit two different photos of Des Moines 1504 and the following caption for consideration, personally I like the non-sun angle picture since it shows the Iowa State Fair sign with the 2022 dates in the background and seems to fit the historical documenting theme, but I know sun angle photos are the ones that are preferred here :P so am including another 'better lit' shot as 1504 departs the State Capitol. (If this does get chosen use whichever you like better) Anyways...

Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority, or DART, 1504 is seen on special service route 1 Fairgrounds - State Capitol express during the 2022 Iowa State Fair. The 2022 Iowa State Fair shuttles were the last major assignment for the remaining active DART articulated bus fleet prior to their full retirement. 1504 was one of seven New Flyer D60LF model articulated units purchased by DART for use on their express routes. They were all built in 2000 and originally operated by the Orange County Transit Authority. Prior to being placed into service with DART in 2015, these units were completely re-manufactured by Complete Coach Works. As of 2022 DART has no plans to reintroduce articulated buses to their fleet at any time in the foreseeable future. This is due to continued lower ridership demand on express routes post-COVID-19 and being unable to operate articulated buses on routes serving the DART Central Station due to the shorter platform bays.

Calgary Transit 2006 NFI D40LF #7964 is seen dropping off passengers beside the Central Library on the MAX Purple route.

These buses, unique to CT’s fleet (as they had specifications and features built for Winnipeg Transit), were put out of service during the start of the pandemic back in March 2020 (2 months before Anderson Garage closed, due to the lack of an operator rear door switch). 2.5 years later, all units have returned to regular service as Anderson Garage has reopened and the frequency and service span begins to be reinstated throughout the whole system.

New Jersey Transit 2020 New Flyer XD60 operating on Route 119 in Jersey City, NJ. Articulated buses were finally added onto Route 119 in June 2022 after NJT took over operations of the line from Coach USA (previously Route 119 was a contract route). Articulated buses helped out from overcrowding on Route 119 which was a problem for a couple of years up to this point.

Stratford Transit is still running 9764, a 1997 Novabus LFS (ex-Hamilton Street Railway 9703). It is typically only assigned to one of three school special trippers. I was fortunate enough to ride it, however the screaming school kids made the ride less pleasant. This photo was taken on Wednesday, September 21.
