ETS 4046, class leader for the 1998/99 D40LF purchase, is seen working the route 81 on Lakewood Road at 31 Ave. Coming up on 20 years of service, these buses are up for retirement with the arrival of the 7000's this year. These buses introduced a lot of features not found on ETS's earlier 200 series that were carried throughout the low floor fleet in the following years. This included actual draught doors (as speced throughout the GM New Look years), warm wall heating (much like a New Look again), Bailous LED signs, and the Cummins C8.3 engine. Yes, it's April and there's still snow on the ground.

Greater Sudbury Transit #871 is seen here at the Transit Terminal on March 16, 2018. This is the first bus out of the 3 bus order that was placed by the city of Greater Sudbury in 2017. It includes minor changes such as the Cummins L9 engine and an Allison B400R transmission.

Suburban_Mobility_Authority_for_Regional

At the beginning of 2018, the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation launched the Fast service. This precursor to complete bus rapid transit travels along three of Detroit’s radial avenues, Gratiot to Mount Clemens and Chesterfield Township in Macomb County (through the intermediate suburbs of Eastpointe, Roseville and Clinton Township), Woodward to Troy and Pontiac in Oakland County (through the intermediate suburbs of Highland Park, Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Birmingham and Bloomfield Township), and Michigan to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in the suburb of Romulus (through the intermediate suburbs of Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Inkster and Westland).
