M. Parsons
Something a little bit different... a BBC streaks East on Jasper Ave at 97 St as a route 120. How do we know it's a BBC? Well, simple. Everything is (relatively) sharp except for the blurred trolley wire, indicative of "wire wiggle" from a passing trolley coach, and the streaks of light from the passing coach. It was a cold evening, but, I had set out to capture some long exposures of trolleybus action. I can't help but be reminded of this passage from the book Edmonton's Electric Transit: "Will Edmontonians be able to stand a few years hence on an early frosty winter's morning and hear the stillness broken only by the hiss of carbon shoes on wire and the "clickity- clack" of the poles passing through switches?".

STO_1601
STO 9225 seen in Downtown Ottawa on January 2, 2020. These ex-Calgary Transit Classics have survived into the 2020s but they probably will not stay for much longer with an order of 43 hybrid buses coming early this year. Marking an end of an era for the STO.

The unit was brought back due to a shortage of buses caused by one of the heaviest snowfall the Vancouver area has seen in years. 15 Jan 2020 / 29th Avenue Station Please DM me for a photo with a less obstructive watermark

G.A
A Kasper Transportation Ford Transit photographed at Guelph Central Station on its second day of service of the revamped Owen Sound to Guelph route. Years ago, Greyhound ran the service and then Aboutown after that. The line sat empty for years. Voyago is also to start the same line later this year. 3
