Mark Walton
I remember 158 being part of the 60th anniversary celebrations in 1999; then-Mayor Bill Smith was reportedly quoted as saying he expected to see the end of trolleys on his watch (he was defeated in 2004). I also saw 158 on a 1990 visit, on the watch of Jan Reimer, the last pro-trolley Mayor I can recall.

Tom1122
If anyone is planning on visiting IRM to see 181 in operation there are three days to do so; the first Saturdays in June, July, and September. I'm planning to go in July. Edit: I found out that what I saw on IRM's website was for their 2011 season and in 2012, there are no scheduled trolleybus operations, but that doesn't mean they won't be able to pull out a bus or two. However 181 is having some problems that they plan to take a thorough look at during spring. However 181 has more electronic components which will make troubleshooting more difficult. James
Noticed tonight in Cromdale that there are quite a few BBC's in there. The south east door was open when i went by on the LRT and i was able to see in quickly but i saw them.

Michael Marriott
From what I could see, there are about a half-dozen left in there. However, all of them have had their poles, shrouds and retrievers removed.

captaintrolley
Not as quick as the people responsible for dismantlng the system and tearing the trolleys apart. They worked at lightning speed. You'd think someone had lit a fire under their cans.
captaintrolley
Today marks the 3rd anniversary (May 02, 2009) of the last ETS trolley run in Edmonton. Yes, I wore black today. A very sad day in history for all of us. http://www.econogics.com/ev/Edmonton%20Trolleys.pdf
captaintrolley
http://ymtram.mashke.org/bulgaria/plovdiv/fishbowl.html These trolleybuses are to be auctioned off as scrap for nonpayment of customs dues. I'll be sad later, right now I'm too angry.......

Cimon8000
http://www.eltis.org/index.php?id=13&study_id=2640 probably this is the reason why Plovdiv doesn't need those ex-ETS BBCs anymore...........
