I am curious to know which airports these units originally came from and if they were purchased through Intermountain Coach in Colorado. I recently acquired all of the VINs for the 1998-1999's along with others. Does Private Transportation resell retired buses or just scrap them? Detroit Diesel 6V92TA Posted December 30, 2018 Report Share Posted December 30, 2018 Just recently I was finally able to acquire 1 Ex-AVIS Phantom VIN that became one of the Private Transportation units. 504 was Ex-AVIS of Detroit & later AVIS of LAX 12: 15GCD2118X1089107, 1999 Phantom. I was able to get that result by using https://www.vehiclehistory.com/licence-plate-search/free-licence-plate-search.php instead of AutoCheck (which seems much pickier). I could not get a VIN for 502, but I did get the model year (1999) using https://findbyplate.com (which sadly does not give out the VINs). 508 is still a no go, but 1 of 3 is better than none.
