Millennium2002
Oddball: when 18386 accelerates hard, an air-horn-like sound can be heard at the rear... I'm not joking when I say this. It sounds quite amusing and annoying at the same time.

gdt717
First off, please forgive me if this is not posted in the correct forum. Shouldn't there be some more new buses coming? It seems that most of the old(er) buses are now in Surrey (ie: 72XX, 73XX and 74XX older than 7447. Shouldn't there be another batch of buses coming to replace these? Anyone know? Thanks. I'll take this opportunity to say that these 47 were supposed to be 2018s, but were later delayed to prioritize the arrival of the 2019 XDE60. So this thread will be used for these 47 XN40.

Logistically speaking, yes. But it seems Translink has already made its decision, as 19101 is destined for Hamilton.

I suppose if 16001-16049 are transferred to Surrey some of those buses could be used as expansion units as South of Fraser routes seem to have the most improvements listed for Phase 2. Express691
Looking ahead: Surrey loses 12 Orions (accounts for 301 loss despite the route needing only 9 (4 All day runs, 5 PM peak which is more than the 4 needed for the AM) buses for peak operation) and 6 buses for the 340 being shipped out. 18 buses freed up. That's enough space for 12 artics to come in. Seeing that STC got 16050/51, let's try... PCT: 14001-14045 (45) STC: 16016-16051, 18101-18206 (140) HTC: 16001-16015, 19101-19147 (62) Projections only, after everything is in. We have been getting new buses since May 2018. Brando737
STC will also no longer be using Orion's on the 503, it'll be artics and standard 40 footers so STC will have no Orion's at the start of September sheet.
8010
The 47 XN40s + 4 Electric Buses (LFSe and XE40) are enough to replace all the 2016 XN40s at HTC if they're all moved out to STC, two are already in Surrey.
