94 + 10 from TransLink board meetings.

94 + 1 (+10) from the original RFP.

For the original RFP, what was the (1) for? (Replacement?) Kinda odd to see considering how large we are and we usually dont just order 1 bus by itself

I think it was a demo, or something like that. Don't quote me on this, I'm not too good at remembering myself.

"Hey guys, remember that time we messed up our numbering and missed 9582"

"Yeah, so what"

"What if it just showed up 10 years late"

VIN numbers point to 9582 being skipped over, so it doesn't actually exist, but imagine if it just randomly appeared one day

First off, please forgive me if this is not posted in the correct forum.

Shouldn't there be some more new buses coming?  It seems that most of the old(er) buses are now in Surrey (ie: 72XX, 73XX and 74XX older than 7447.  Shouldn't there be another batch of buses coming to replace these?  Anyone know?  Thanks.

There will be 47 XN40's arriving later this year.

I'll take this opportunity to say that these 47 were supposed to be 2018s, but were later delayed to prioritize the arrival of the 2019 XDE60.

So this thread will be used for these 47 XN40.

18101-18206 and 18301-18404 are also replacements.

H19303, H19304 are the XE40's, unit's H19101 thru H19147 are XN40s, deferred from the 2018 order which originally had 153 units but got shortened to 106.

Im guessing 2016 xn40’s will be sent to STC to replace aging D40LF’s

Logistically speaking, yes. But it seems Translink has already made its decision, as 19101 is destined for Hamilton.

Oh yeah, I didn't even pay attention to the prefix in the image. I suppose if 16001-16049 are transferred to Surrey some of those buses could be used as expansion units as South of Fraser routes seem to have the most improvements listed for Phase 2.

Looking ahead: Surrey loses 12 Orions (accounts for 301 loss despite the route needing only 9 (4 All day runs, 5 PM peak which is more than the 4 needed for the AM) buses for peak operation) and 6 buses for the 340 being shipped out.

18 buses freed up. That's enough space for 12 artics to come in.

Seeing that STC got 16050/51, let's try...

PCT: 14001-14045 (45)

STC: 16016-16051, 18101-18206 (140)

HTC: 16001-16015, 19101-19147 (62)

Projections only, after everything is in. We have been getting new buses since May 2018.
