MCW Metrobus
12 hours ago, Opal said: I'm pretty sure those were not the numbers loaned to VTC. I know for sure 7380 as I rode it multiple times on the 25 and I think it was 7344-7347. That photo of 7377 was of a BTC tripper on the 84 that existed back then - I specifically remember that being the case and I also remember that photo when it was first posted on that site and that it was of the BTC tripper. I also remember that the oddball trippers started at run 22/043 (run 22/043 was the 25 mentioned below) and this one is showing run 23 which was an 84. I'm pretty sure there was only 1 Cummins bus at VTC, but I could be mistaken. It's possible that 7375-7377 and 7380 were there but I never remember seeing those. I remember 7380 with 100% certainty as it was the result of an interesting incident. I tended to get a specific run of the 25 only if it was late, otherwise I'd get the one behind (which was the BTC run). Well this one day, I got 7380 initially thinking that it was the BTC run (didn't see its run number). We broke down at Dunbar and King Edward (back door wouldn't close) and we all got off and got the next bus. That was another Cummins bus, but was one of the LFRs, so I knew with certainty that it was the BTC run, not the one I had been on. 7380 also appeared on a VTC run of the 405 (was run 93/049) at one point before the Cummins buses were ever in Richmond. During the trolley crisis, the Cummins loaners from BTC were, as I recall: 7375, 7376, 7377 and 7380. I thought that the 1999 D40LFs loaned from Surrey were 7344, 7347, 7348 and 7349, but now that I go back through my old pictures I'm not sure about the last two, because it wasn't until a year or two later that I got pictures of 7348 on the 15, and 7349 on the 491. (I know for a fact I've also got shots of 7349 on the N16.) A couple of D40LFs were also borrowed from Richmond. I think those ones were 7239-7241. See attached images: 7375 on the 100, 7376 on run 1 of the 25 (most likely not a BTC run, especially since the time stamp says the picture was taken at 8:33 am), 7380 on the 405 as you recalled, another shot of 7375 but this time on 17/049 (I only just remembered that this was before the weekday 49s were moved to RTC)
Brando737
Spotted 7184 (I think) and 7312 going EB onto Front Street at about 1330 today. Possibly heading to the warehouse for storage.

Wouldn't it be better to keep them active and reduce the stress on the rest of the D40LFs?

dover5949
I don't understand why 7436 was brought over to VTC for the 1 day & then was sent back to RTC when they brought 7403-07 over to VTC?

Meraki
They all started showing up at VTC when the 9 got dieselized for the Commercial-Broadway construction. They'll probably be gone at the end of the month.

Dr. BusFreak
While looking at 8063's assignment history, it was aparrently transferred to BTC on the 24th of September, and then it was inactive, until yesterday, when it was transferred back to RTC. dover5949
So by the looks of things VTC has a surplus of buses since the 009 has gone back to Trolley? I'm sure if this is the case more D40LF's will probably be transferred out to STC as it seems if STC is in need of coaches?
