Interesting.

I wonder how the previously mentioned electric orders in the future will be broken down.

Also. I'm assuming 5000 will be the new bus numbers? Or back to 2000?

I am not even sure what they are doing with the fleet numbers.  I do know they are treating whether these electric buses will work for either the MAX or local routes.

Sometime soon, we will have new Gillig buses on the property, the next batch may be all CNG or a mix of CNG and diesel buses, and they will retire the remaining 2006 Gilligs, which right now are conti

Here in St. Louis, Metro is getting over a dozen electric buses from both Gillig and New Flyer. Metro is currently accepting the Xcelsior XE60 artics. These will be used on their busiest route 70 Grand. They installed quick charging stations at transit centers at the end of the lines. Those artics don't need to be charged at the garage, however, the 4 Gillig Electric 40fts will be charged at the garage each night. Electric charging has been installed at the Brentwood garage. It'll be interesting to see which routes they get put on.

Seems they're going with the regular seating arrangement. Understandable. Make the buses more "flexible" for which routes they'll serve.

Yes but missing 2 seats cause of the rear doors. Seats 37. I like the seating arrangement.

Personally I do enjoy the raised seating MAX buses have, but I'll take it if it means there's a bit more ability to get buses out on the road.

They look sharp! Nice to see they're still doing the custom plate for each bus as well.

They put those plates on all of our busses on the Missouri side. So does the police, city maintenance, state vehicles, etc.

S229, S230 and S233 are all on property. All diesel. Frameless windows and all, same seating as S160-S193. Classified as 2021 Gilligs.

The electric buses are Classified as 2020.

I am hearing 12 of these babies. We have S229-S234 all on property for now. It's the same seating arrangement as S160-S228, except they are diesels. Cummins L9/Allison B3400xfe transmission.

Any idea on whenl these boys (and the electric for that matter) hit the road?

Mans might plan a day to fan.

Also. They should've gone with these bonded windows on local buses long ago. Glad to see they finally did.
