MCTAbus
Small bit of news to pass but 1401-1406 have had their CBus liveries removed and put into service on various routes. The Cbus route was originally suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic but now has been confirmed to be discontinued entirely as of 9/2022. Also "Tacobus" 1276 is still at the spot it was at but has received a paint job so it looks nicer

Won't miss those rigid red and blue lines. It was a highly unoriginal scheme -- an uninspired mash-up of GCRTA, CTA and maybe some vintage WMATA. Very generic and unmemorable -- like no one spent more than 15 minutes designing it. The current "gray+swoop" paint scheme might not be my favorite, but it's at least distinctive. It looks good on the New Flyers!

MCTAbus
Tidbits of updates and observations the last 4 2010 gilligs seem to be inactive along with 1140 and 12xx. 1217? might have been in an accident at some point and is out of service COTA has ordered and put into service more electric buses. Spotted one on the #2 line this past Saturday but missed the fleet number. Likely these are the options exercised from 2021 New Flyer XE40s. MCTAbus
Bus 1405 was involved in an accident and is likely totaled based off of the damage seen on the news. The bus swerved to avoid a driver who had cut the bus off, lost control and ended up crashing into an auto repair shop. Image is from local news. EDIT: 1038 was put back into service as a result of 1405? but has now also been involved in an accident. I cant find any news posts about this incident. only found out via youtube. Credit goes to cotafangirl for screenshot of 1038
MCTAbus
Once again back with more tidbits on COTA Buses COTA is ordering 14 electric Buses and an unknown amount of CNG buses to be the 23XX units from new flyer. 2301 has been delivered as seen in this video: In addition 1016, 1115, 1038, ???? are accident buses alongside 1405. 1123 has been slated as a historic vehicle as seen in this video: Both videos are from the youtube channel Central Ohio Buses (aka cotafangirl) also the 22xx Electric buses have white LED signs compared to the other xcelsiors as seen on other videos in the same channel. octabusfan92
Looks like 2301 (pilot bus of the 2023 order) has just entered service From what I am seeing it looks like COTA’s 2010 and 2011 Gillig 40ft and 2011 29ft buses are all retired as they haven’t been tracked in a while (though I could be wrong) 1217 might be possibly retired as it hasn’t been tracked since 2021
