I've been passing the Angel Tours yard on a regular basis near Jane Street and Highway 407 in Vaughan while I ride the GO bus and I noticed an older MCI coach in the very back- I haven't seen it in service at all. Does anyone know about it?

It's hard to know what a mystery coach is when all you can describe about it is "an older MCI".

Looking at the Wiki, Angel did use to operate a MCI 102-D3 from 1996. It's quite possible this is still hanging around in their yard. Photo of it below.

In related news, an Angel Tours X3-45 with the name ZEUS passed me earlier today. While I couldn't get a picture of it, it had the same graphics (with the Angel Tours logo added) as Prevost demonstrator 6185 (photo below). I suspect that Angel purchased it outright, and has put into their numbering naming scheme.

You did indeed spot 9604 at the back of the yard. Haven't spotted it in service in at least a couple years. It had small decals for OLG Slots and was running a shuttle to Georgian Downs for a while there.

As for the X3-45, there was a time where they applied Angel Tours logos to it, but still had it numbered as 6185. It is the same bus.

They also have a 2019 H3-45 in a solid charcoal colour scheme right now as well.  Didn't catch what they named it though.

Got a photo and it's indeed MCI 102-D3 #9604, looks like it's seen better days since it's at the way back of the yard (sorry for the bad quality, I took this from a GO Transit SuperLo going 80 km/h)

Looks like their yard by Jane and Hwy 7 has been cleared out. Their website is still up, so perhaps they have just moved locations, as opposed to then being a victim of Covid.

Their website still lists their Vaughan location as the "head office"; however, they also list a location on Hollyholme Farm Dr in an industrial area of Barrie. They may have moved much of their buses and maintenance up there, especially as the Casino Rama runs form much of their income.

I'm not sure who owns that yard around Jane/407; I have seen buses from multiple owners on that property in the past, so it may be that Angel was only leasing space, and have moved their operations to a property they now own in Barrie.

They were leasing it. They moved the buses to their Barrie location after the Casino closed to reduce overheads.
