T6H-5307N
Ok. Where are your first spottings of the year though? I feel like we go through this every year... is having your name on the thread really that important? Sigh, I may as well contribute something meaningful. Lowest numbered SmartBus unit I've spotted is 4185... anyone seen anything any lower? 4196 is on a 112 right now. I know someone posted about 4146 in another thread, but I have reason to believe that it was not accurately confirmed.
t_harris01
Well can't use 2015 when it's 2016...I did get confirmation 6002,6005,6006 will be getting smart bus soon. I can find out Monday what the lowest smart bus is and post it. But 6006 is missing again...I'm feeling it's in tent C but I'll look monday as well
awstott
Why is it Edmonton and Area spottings? Shouldn't the neighboring community spottings go into their own threads?
M. Parsons
Sigh, I may as well contribute something meaningful. Lowest numbered SmartBus unit I've spotted is 4185... anyone seen anything any lower? Lowest spotted online is indeed 4185. If anything between 4130-4184 is equipped, then it has actually been logged into and used in service. Well can't use 2015 when it's 2016.. 2010 LRT thread is alive and well! Why is it Edmonton and Area spottings? Shouldn't the neighboring community spottings go into their own threads? We can have a whole string of 2016 threads yo! captaintrolley
2010 LRT thread is alive and well! Explains why the LRT is six years behind the times.
Michael Marriott
Rode smart bus equipped 4152 on the 2 this evening. Lowest spotted online is indeed 4185. If anything between 4130-4184 is equipped, then it has actually been logged into and used in service.

captaintrolley
Hmmm...noticed the stop announcements aren't working / enabled going through Woodcroft and Dovercourt. At least not northbound. I went through there southbound a few days ago but didn't really pay attention.
LRT
This thread doesn't specify what to "spot" so can I post anything then? [emoji51]

t_harris01
Just rode this bus. It's #6013. It's extremely quiet and we'll built and very smooth
Theodore Leung
Ya, I found it is pretty quiet, too. I can barely hear the sound of the engine when i was taking picture outside.I will upload my shots tonight, even there is just a handful of them... I had to rush to class after a few shots LOLbtw, good to see you this morning, @t_harris01
LRT
You know...I hope ETS and Calgary Transit seriously looks into purchasing these new buses. The only way electric vehicles are going to take off is if big city's show some initiative and support the new technology. Yeah....I'm pissed off that the trolleys are gone but this alternative actually is more viable. Too bad I missed it when the similar bus was in Calgary last year. M. Parsons
Ya, I found it is pretty quiet, too. I can barely hear the sound of the engine I'm very impressed you could even hear an engine as the bus is equipped with electric motors and diesel heater! No engine on board. Theodore Leung
Guys, I suddenly have a question, if the BYD K9 is #6011, and the XE 40 is #6013, so what is the #6012?
M. Parsons
I always just "felt" that a second one would turn up. Partially because St. Albert is getting quite into electric buses. My biggest curiosity is if Proterra or Novabus could send something towards Edmonton and/ or St. Albert.
