That's a very reliable source 🤦‍♂️

Here’s a photo of a bus with the RapidTO wrap.

Anyone seen these new Amber LED lights above the doors on a T1 before? (5098)  Snapchat-789585951.mp4

As of mid-May and now a string of T1 pairs now have LED interior lighting. Those pairs are: 5036/7, 5096/7, 5114/5, 5128/9, 5154/5, 5172/3, 5190/1, 5228/9, 5324/5, and 5328/9.

There's still a few more left with the fluorescent lighting, I believe 5366/7, 5271, 5085, 5276/7, 5274/5, 5117 are the only ones left.

They simply had nothing left in the divisional stockroom but the smaller ones the Streetcars and GMs use(d). Nothing else.

blow the dust off the box and use what you have.

8812 now has the three red dot feature on the front doors. I took the bus this morning on the 54.

another one has it as well.  The red dots are there to show the driver that the front doors are completely closed.  This was introduced after the accident on 57 midland where the elderly woman was dragged.  Apparently, she was dragged from the front door.

Add a front door interlock to the multiplex O/S software. Never mind empty gestures.

And before anyone asks,  yes, I did forward the obvious suggestion to the vehicle engineering department. Also advocated for off the shelf rear wheel lifeguards.

Wasn't it the rear doors of 1731?

I was surprised to not see those dots when I rode on it not too long ago.

So far I’ve seen 8499, 8500, 8602, 8607, and 9024 have their emergency handles at the rear section get removed. I’m assuming this will happen to all the Novas buses delivered before 2017 (8620-8716 order)

Correct, all buses delivered with handles on those windows are having them removed.

Oh by the way, 8893 and 8894 have broken, smashed rear doors

+8821.

I am sure that the broken smashed doors will be fixed ASAP and be in service with the new replaced ones. If that's not the case, let me know by next week. :)

Honestly, I'm not surprised the doors were smashed the full glass makes them easy to be smashed, and angry people probably smashed the doors.
