8036 has been sitting on track 53 at RTC since at least yesterday morning, and I have a feeling it's toast. It still has its equipment, but there is no fresh pre-trip card in it, only a used one from July 3.

With the other remaining RTC D60LFs having been moved to Poco, I guess that's it for RTC.

Track 53 sounds like the retirement line. 8036 is the last D60LF I drove!

What is track 53? Not all of us work at Richmond garage.

Tracks are parking stalls for buses. Track 53 is a track that's in the retired section of RTC.

Usually the retired buses are parked on the far East side tracks like track 53. I've worked in Richmond several times, currently I'm in Burnaby trying out the 18000's and 19000's 😀

I agree with you about the D60LF's as there's only ~5 left and they'll be killed after the new TMAC testing ends. But about the D40LFs surviving into spring... not sure about that. Just look at the numbers:

41 old, aging, unreliable D40LFs.

47 shiny new 2019 XN40's coming.

Do the math, as soon as those units come in, Translink will make haste to put them out and kill the D40LFs.

Except i dont expect the XN40's to all start service right away, i have a feeling we wont see the end of the 47 units arriving until 2020.

A recent photo I saw depicted 9253 behind 8036 on the same track. Confirming 8036 is done.

No more Series 50 at UBC, folks.

NOT a D60LF, but a D40LF, WRONG THREAD MY DUDE

Was the bolding of the letters not enough on emphasis that you had to add the underlining as well? lol

Excuse me it was posted on this thread by mistake! Are you trying to get a point across with the bold, Italics & underlining?

No worries. We all make mistakes. Easy to do with so many similar threads going on.

I wonder how ole faithful (8013) is doing these days. The last time I saw it was when it was getting driven into the shop.

Still going strong, out for 16 hours today.
