BramptonTransitFan84
Before I start to mention any retirements or service entry's. I would kindly like to lay out a simple ground rule regarding information I share here. Please DO NOT directly tag the City of Burlington/Burlington Transit accounts in any media posts directly regarding bus retirements or new bus arrivals that I may share as this information I would assume is treated as internal information. I ask this because the last thing I want is to get in trouble for sharing retirement or new bus arrivals so keeping that in mind if this could be followed that would be greatly appreciated. Should I find another instance of the mentioned above I will no longer mention any more retirements/new buses in this thread anymore Also 7044-08 is officially retired. It's parked next to 7005 with the fleet numbers sprayed out 4

I'll miss 7044-08 for sure. It was the 2nd best in the fleet. I can't believe it's gone.. I rode 71904 on the 1 next, the driver was super rude to me. But the people on 71904 were nice. Then I got off at Waterdown and walked to the GO Station. Also, I informed Hamilton.Area.Transit that 72105 returned to service. I saw it a few weeks prior to him seeing it. It was OOS and the bottom panels were not grey, but actually white. (And no, I don't have a photo) Well.. I guess almost all the 2022s are in service, but a couple such as: 72203, 72204 and 72205 haven't entered service. Guess we can wait with some soda and chips, and wait for them to show up! (Funny thing is, on March 27th, (my birthday).. I got a charter on 7011-09 before it retired and I saw 72203. The batteries weren't in it at the time. I saw and photoed 72105 today and it does not have white panels.

Last bus awaiting a PDI and other service prior to going on the road is 72204 Well.. looks like BT wanted to get rid of the 09s fast, and boy, they're getting that task done. I have a feeling 7003 is next, along with 7001. By the way, in somewhat unrelated news (idk if it is or not), I contacted one of my close friends who works at BT, as I was thinking about having more paper buses made, like the whole fleet in a pack. Because BT has paper Vincinity buses and I really want some paper D40LFs made by BT! Also, I was thinking of having the following buses in the pack (if it gets made): 2003 Inverno: 7024-03 2006 D40LF: 7034-06 2007 D40LF: 7041-07 2008 D40LF: 7044-08 (of course 7044 because it is my 2nd favourite bus in the fleet, only 7011-09 beat it. 2009 D40LF: (This is obvious, everyone knows which 09 unit) - 7011-09 2010 D40LF: 7047-10 (my 3rd favourite unit in the fleet) 2012 Xcelsior: 7057-12 2015 Novas: 7017-15 and 7020-15 ( I put 2 due to 7020 having a amber rear sign) 2018 Grande West Vincinity: 7067-18 2018 Novas: *BOTH* 7033-18 and 7036-18 2019 Novas: 71902 and 71904 2021 Novas: 72101 and 72102 2022 Novas: 72201, 72207 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's about it! Baldelli began her career in 1994 working for the Region of Waterloo, moving quickly through the ranks of impressive roles in both the private and public sector over the next 25 years. In 2003 she made the move to The Town of Milton in a number of positions in their ITS department, including Manager, Enterprise Business Systems & GIS. Baldelli joined the City of Burlington in 2018 as a Business Relationship Manager in the ITS Department where she served as the IT strategic partner to both the Transit and Roads, Parks and Forestry Departments. Her work with Transit lead to her current role as Manager of Transit Planning and Business Services for Burlington Transit. She has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, a Diploma of Municipal Management from AMCTO, plus various training programs specific to Fixed Route Transit Planning and Business Relationship Management. Baldelli is a member of the Ontario Public Transit Association (OPTA) and the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) and was a former Director for the MISA Ontario (Municipal Information Systems Association) and the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association – Ontario Chapter (URISA). Baldelli will start in her new role on July 18. For more information about Burlington Transit, visit burlingtontransit.ca. Burlington is a City where people, nature and businesses thrive. Her wealth of experience and past work on the strategic directions outlined in the City’s Vision to Focus, Vision 2040 and the Integrated Mobility Plan for Burlington Transit will help important work such as the Transit 5-Year Plan and Fleet Electrification continue. Her ongoing leadership and innovative spirit will lead Burlington Transit into the future. I want to thank Neal McDonald for his interim co-leadership of the department with Catherine since May. We are all excited to have Catherine join the Burlington Leadership Team next month and continue her work in transit for the City of Burlington.” Links and Resources www.burlingtontransit.ca I am very happy to see this news as I think that the reputation of the new director towards council will continue to help BT to build and improve their network. I have also begun noticing, more so today that many buses are beginning to have external announcements when the front door open, to announce the route number, name and its destination. Meanwhile, while at the origin or terminal location for the route to begin, that on the inside of the bus, that an announcement would be made to say that this bus wil be departing as such a route number, to destination. Id been asking BT for quite awhile, during various BFAST during varous teleconferences about how long that function of the Trapeeze system would be launched. Glad to hear that they're being installed.

This is the second time despite my efforts to hopefully keep the wiki as updated as possible, because of some people who don't know how to not throw others under the bus now get closer to putting the system at risk with the city in regards to sharing fleet information. So from this point on DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT attempt to contact me at all regarding anything with the system as I will no longer respond
