On Sunday during the Pride Parade, the 506 will be split into 2 routes. The west portion will be turning back at Spadina Station, so this may be one of the last times to see a CLRV on Spadina and in the station

Well that will work better than the painful detour they try and do every year during Taste of Little Italy, which just messes us the east side of town.

Minor crash. Damage to panels, but not frame. From what the photos showed, it looks like it would be essentially a $0 fix (what with all of the spare parts available)

Then why were we told that they were mulling over whether to repair it or not, at one point? Surely, they wouldn't have to think twice about a $0 fix, especially for a heritage vehicle contender?

According to the most recent info in this thread, it is undergoing repairs. But perhaps the fact that it wasn't back in service the next day or two should tip us off to the fact that there might be something that happened to the car under the hood that we didn't see.

Is it possible that it’s days in revenue service are done, but they are still maintaining it as a heritage vehicle? Especially considering the 501A is converted to Flexity next week, do they really need 4002 in service ? Maybe they want to keep it at Hillcrest now and have it well kept for the future. That being said, no one has said any solid news regarding heritage CLRVs at all

4001 is the oldest CLRV in service. 4002 was the first CLRV to touch TTC rails though.

Unless someone made an error onnthe wiki list, it shows 4002 as a 1977 and 4001 as a 1978. 4002 would indeed be the oldest unless someone can show the build dates on them.

Recently it was possible to find information of the serial numbers CLRV & ALRV cars. Can someone check how accurate it is?

4000-4001 - 78-2-001-78-2-002
4002 - 77-4-003
4003 - 78-1-004
4004-4005 - 78-2-005-78-2-006

In the fall, the following post was added to this thread, and verified as being quite accurate. Whether the frames on 4002 were cut before any of the others is not known, but what we can say (based on the information posted here) is that 4002 was completed the first, in quarter 4 of 1977, and was followed in quarter 1 of 1978 by 4003. 4000, 4001, 4004, and 4005 were not completed until quarter 2 of 1978.

Saw 4230 last night heading west on Queen Street East at Greenwood. The first ALRV I've seen in operation in almost a year. It wasn't in service & had 6 ttc employees wearing construction vests onboard

So for the 511 today:

Currently being served by 7 CLRVs

4077 was signed into the 511, made it to around King & Parliament and I’m assuming it turned back and is now in the carhouse at Russell, possible mechanical issue

511 cars got to Bathurst via King

I am not sure if this was reported but decommissioned clrv 4115 was being towed by another clrv on Thursday most likely heading to Leslie barns I believe. I forgot the number of the clrv that was towing 4115 down Queen Street.

It was probably being towed to Hillcrest or Roncesvalles since there’s a picture on Facebook with the car being towed westbound, crossing Yonge St
