With the system designed to handle 200+ cars at peak, and only about 160 in service recently - I don't think 2 or maybe 3 extra cars makes much difference!

Car 4484 is currently out near Long Branch - so I think that answers that question!

It does indeed - I just returned from a look at Transsee myself. I guess I was thinking that there would be a difference with the 505/506/Roncesvalles (Yard)/Broadview all being unavailable resulting in a lot of pressure on Queen between River and Woodbine. But with 66/85/86/87 to put on the road (and 08’s repair) I guess they have to keep the commissioning line moving

There have been precious few ALRVs making it out on weekends for the last few months (at times, none), even back when there were 14-15 making it out during rush hours.

There were zero yesterday. One so far today (4215). The report that 21 remain seems optimistic, given that only 19 track anymore (4203, 4204, 4207, 4212, 4214, 4215, 4216, 4217, 4224, 4225, 4228, 4229, 4230, 4236, 4237, 4240, 4242, 4243, and 4249). The first post in this thread reports 4212 is retired - if that's correct, then that's no more than 18 left. Tracker also shows that 4212, 4216, 4224, and 4230 haven't been seen for some time.

14 left then?

4200 should be active since it is refurbished

4212 was said to be retired back in January. I have no idea why it's tracking at Hillcrest now, but I would presume it's an error.

4216 was one of the units that bus_7426 indicated as having been put on the "no repair" list or something like that. Curiously, even though it was moved to Leslie several months ago, the GPS kept reporting until fairly recently.

4224 has had its GPS powered up every so often, but as far as I'm aware it hasn't left Russell at all since the end of April (maybe even earlier, I only started dipping into the feed regularly at the end of April) except to loop around Connaught and cycle through the line of streetcars. It was signed into the 501 on June 14, but it never made it out into service. I don't know if this is one of the 10 that died (presumably not, as the GPS was powered up as recently as 6 days ago), but if it ever runs again, I'll eat my hat.

TransSee implemented vehicle history in the middle of May. There is no trip data for 4200 since that time, so I presume it may have gone the way of 4230 and 4239, refurb or no refurb.

Could be there for repairs possibly.

70 CLRV and 25 retirements noted in May 2018 (CEO report). So there are two dead CLRVs and five dead ALRVs we don’t know about yet (plus any gone since the report was finalized)

71 CLRV and 28 ALRV officially retired "as of June 2018" in the CEO report for July.

4002 is at Leslie barns, don’t know if it’s retired or not

Just because its "tracking" at Leslie Barns, doesn't mean that we should speculate it biting the dust or not.

It looks like 4202 might be a goner. I noticed it has one track/signal light missing and it’s front destination sign has been removed.

It's been gone for a while. Been sitting on track 21 at Russell for the last 3 months.

That’s true, but it hasn’t officially been listed as decommissioned on this thread.

It is now. I can only strike off trams from the list that have been confirmed as retired by an insider source, so the list is wildly out of date.

Now that 67 new streetcars need to be fixed up, Could TTC do the LEP to some of the CLRVs and ALRVs, Similar to the New Looks that got a LEP back in 2009/2010

No.

While it might be argued that the ALRV refurb was not sufficiently thorough, it would be good money after bad now. Surely Hillcrest mechs have enough other things to do. We need at least some of the option order taken up if any money is to be spent.

What's going on with the ALRVs? Only 4215 and 4243 have been in service lately what about the rest of the non retired units?

Less service in the Summer maybe, Once the CNE happens we could see more

No one's really sure. Apparently the other 18 cars all have holds placed on them, or did earlier in the week.

Likely not to Exhibition Loop - at least, not when there are sufficient Flexity stock to cover the services there. Haven't heard of the ALRVs being deployed on 514 though, but still a possibility.

4217 (for first time in 12 days) and 4249 both out overnight and today, while 4240 was out briefly yesterday for first time in 19 days.

The end is nigh though.

Other cars still tracking that saw service in last three weeks are:

4200 - last on July 31

4204 - last on Aug 1

4207 - last on Aug 3

4225 - last on Aug 3

4226 - last on Aug 2

So 10 left maybe?
