TTC CLRV/ALRV updates and discussion

These are some relatively recent pictures I found of 4226, the latter one being after it was scrapped. I was just wondering why in both interior and exterior photos the “6” is written in some different font. Did they accidentally number it wrong at first or was it just done in a hurry?

i often see posts of them being loaded but haven’t had the chance to go witness it in person. 

Roughly after 8 in the morning, or in the evening now as it seems. Not sure about the evening scrapping times

let's hope 4001 and 4003 return to service and the alrvs as well. I only caught 4002 from the swiss cars. I am glad 4002 is supposed to be preserved. I am also glad I aught 4125 two weeks ago on the 506 as well. it seems like almost every week they are decommissioning the clrvs now?

I rode 4001 during the last week of the previous board period, when CLRVs still ran on the main section of the 501. It ran okay but was in very rough shape outside and pretty shabby inside. I don't see anyone making a lot of efforts to fix this one up.

4010 has started tracking again, inside a building at Hillcrest.

4011 is at Leslie. 4119 is also at Leslie (although its tracking in the lake). Last in service on August 5 on 501. Not a long absence, but still a unit to look out for.

4195 also tracking again at Russell.

I spotted all of those units at Russell. 4052 and 4143 were inside, while 4049, 4077 and 4180 were outside. 4049 was shut off outside, and was parked behind 4077 4180 4192 and retired 4125 4148. 4148 had its wrap taken off by an employee. 4051 was parked by its self. It should be noted that 4051 had its interior lights off and it looked like some interior was missing. 4077 also had a panel open like 4051. 4051 had a cord running from that panel  that was going inside through a window.

Had an extremely nice driver on 4021. He went through all the signs on the roll sign (I would put a video but Its file size Is too big). I asked him to put an "EXPRESS" sign on the front, and a "512 ST CLAIR STATION" on the side, reminding me of the days when the CLRV ruled the 512.
