TTC CLRV/ALRV updates and discussion

4221 is tracking at Queen and Jarvis now. It looks like it might be back on the pm rush. 4207 is on Dundas St E at River st, and idk why it is there now, since 505 is being operated by buses.

4221 is now signed in to the 501

Collision on Dundas hasn’t cleared yet. 4207 either involved in the collision or impacted by blocked track. Hopefully the later

It has returned to Russell under its own power so thats a good sign

4207 seems to have gone past Russell and is now going towards Neville Park. 4221 also went to Neville and back westbound and is still in service near Bathurst

Imagine that. First ALRVs in service in months, and one gets in a crash within a few hours.

I don’t believe it was in a crash as it seemed to be fine afterwards. But if that was the case yes it would be pretty bad luck

4207 is back on the road as of 8:15am. Most likely a rad car

As of yesterday, the scrap ALRVs that remain on property are 4247, 4240, 4214, 4217, and 4237.

Did you forget 4215? I didn't hear any news about it being scrapped yet.

No, I didn't see 4215. The lines at Russell were short enough that by walking around the perimeter of the property, I could photo every ALRV on the west side of the yard. If the car is still in Toronto, I didn't see it.

In other news, 4103 is MIA. I witnessed it push 4094, looping around Russell, yesterday, and then about half an hour later I came back and their positions had been reversed and 4103 had its pole pulled down. Last ran May 9.

4207 was the first vehicle that came upon an auto-auto accident on Dundas. There was a detouring CLRV that was caught behind it as well.

It has been at exhibition loop since 4 hours ago and it is still there at this moment

Sad news. 4247 and 4240 were hauled away to scrap today. I will find out other movements later this afternoon

I'm surprised 4247 was sitting at Russell that long. Cars that ran in service longer were hauled away long before that one! It must have been a stockroom on wheels.

It is no longer there though tracker still says so

4207 is signed on 501

I spotted 4207 westbound on Queen at River in service on 501 around 4:15pm. Caught me off guard as I didn't know they returned to service.

Any status on 4226 and 4228?

4228 is coupled to 4208, followed by 4214 and 4217. 4215 was moved, and roof packages were stripped by afternoon in the scrapping area on 20 track. A decommissioned CLRV was next door on 21 track, but I didn’t get to see the number

Anyone notice 4048 has a full rollsign on its rear? It's on the 501 westbound but the rear says "501 Neville Park" (not that it matters).

Maybe from a used rollsign from a different CLRV/ALRV?
