PHATMATT51 Posted May 25, 2021 Report Share Posted May 25, 2021 Yes DeNure Transportation(Blenheim Bus Lines) who ran the city transit won a 5 year contract for the urban,inter-urban and specialized transit starting July 1. City owns the vehicles and is leasing them to the company.(2 Enviro 200,13 Chevy Arboc and 2 Ram Promaster CS-2) They have to maintain them. Would have expected that they would keep the new equipment until the new contractor starts, rather than put it into service under the old contractor, then have to move it, change legals and what not on July 1st. PHATMATT51 Posted June 8, 2021 Report Share Posted June 8, 2021 RideCK 001 and 002 were out today. 001 on Route 3 @ transit terminal 002 on Route 1 @ food basics before I took the picture of 002 at the last stop the driver seam to have issues with the door. Still can’t wait to see the Enviros out. Talked to one of the drivers about the new cutaways(001-002) and they said same shit just doesn’t rattle as much and smell better. Changes include all new buses for urban, innter urban and para transit, bus signs, new website and more. InTouch Connection(Blenheim Bus) will operate all 3 division which will definitely help connections between the urban and inter urban. With the previous set up buses left on the times they are suppose to even if the city buses were late and people missed connections. PHATMATT51 Posted July 5, 2021 Report Share Posted July 5, 2021 006 on route 3 today and 013 doing paratransit. 012 was on paratransit too but didn’t see it. The only difference between all the buses exterior is the front and side sign. If people don’t pay attention they think the regular city bus just passed them and didn’t pick them up and are getting upset and calling in to complain. Driver said it with it being the summer the accessible rides are slower(along with coving 19 only necessary ride only) all the seats are in and getting some miles on it. now just have to chase down the 2 Ram Promasters. Approximately 2 Arbocs (one of which is former used unit C-150) are temporarily staying around from the previous contract Does that sound about right? Much appreciated. Definitely understand the photography thing, it's a common problem in many places... if drivers are giving you a hassle, definitely don't worry about the VINs. PHATMATT51 Posted August 3, 2021 Report Share Posted August 3, 2021 So seen one of the Ram Promasters going through Chatham(it was heading out of town back to Blenheim and I was heading the other way and couldn’t get a picture). It was numbered 014. Stopped by the depot and talked to the driver I talked to before. He says the Promasters are numbered 014-015. The two Enviro200 will be numbered 016-017. And the two Arboc kept from the CK transit are 018-019. I’ve seen every bus except for the 015,016,017 so far it’s accurate. Just have to see next month. Enviros are sitting in the back(one in the line with the school buses and one at the very back with the old city buses they kept) still not lettered.
