Public Transit in settlements of Kativik Region (far northern Quebec)

Under the subject of public transit systems I didn't know about...

Buried in the annual reports of the Kativik Regional Government (far northern Quebec) is information that public transit systems have been established in a number of their northern villages. They seem to be using vans on fixed routes in at least four communities: Inukjuak, Kangirsuk, Kuujjuaq, and Puvirnituq. In perhaps a dozen more the local elders/disabled van services have been made available for general public use.

The annual reports (and other sources) use the term "Usijiit Public Transit", or "Usijiit Para- and Public Transit" but I'm not sure what "usijiit" means.
