2207 on the 19 attempting to short-turn at Joyce station. Attempting to turn left leaving the station East loop to SB on Joyce st, couldn't make the turn properly and now the pole is tangled with the wire. Taken today at 18:45.

I think there may have been an issue (power outage?) at Metrotown. FB post shows a line up of trolleys waiting to be towed.

Not sure, but this was the second time I saw trolley come to Joyce stn to short turn, and dewired taking this left turn. Not enough room to allow trolleys to properly take that turn with the construction.

Canada Line was victim to some track issues in the Richmond Branch this evening. Bus shuttles were sent in to assist.

I believe YVR trains were also running at 3-minute frequencies due to the Richmond closure.

Due to a Track Issue customers traveling to Richmond-Brighouse will have to change trains at Bridgeport Stn. Extra Bus Service has also been deployed to assist between Brighouse & Bridgeport Stations.

Due to a container truck roll over on Hwy 91 EB in the "S" curve just after 7pm Hwy 91 is closed at Nelson Rd. Since all EB traffic is gridlock from Knight St all EB 301's & 410's are using Westminster Hwy from Brighouse Stn out to Queensbrough.

This PM there was a "leak" inside the massey tunnel which forced it to close in both directions just before the PM rush. Initially thought to be river water seeping in, It was later found to be an oversized truck which hit a sprinkler. Clear by around 1630/1700

Wrong info! I drove through the tunnel at 1700 & there was a single SB lane open, while NB was shut down!

T-Comm announced just after 11 am that a bus bridge was being set up between Columbia and 22nd Street Station. They didn't say why at the time. I don't know how long it was running for though.

Millennium line had a bad day today. First, Commercial-Broadway station is closed for a medical emergency. Currently, there is a power/track issue in the same area (which some say may not get solved by the time service wraps up for the evening).

One of the shuttles VCC-Renfrew is an all-refurb 6-car mk1

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE ICBC

MVA - Motor Vehicle Accidents is a term we will no longer be using.

We now prefer using the term MVC - Motor Vehicle Collisions.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

This may sound like mere semantics, but IMO it’s a significant and long-overdue change. Most collisions are caused by negligence and/or recklessness on the part of one or both drivers; dismissing them as mere “accidents” glosses over this point and makes it harder (socially and politically) to hold drivers to account for their conduct behind the wheel.

One thing I find interesting is that ICBC numbers the lanes from left to right, number 1 lane is the most left lane and going right. CMBC numbers the lane starting from the right lane and going left..... 🤔

Actually, most places numbers the lanes from left to right...

It's time for TransLink to change their tweet alerts to MVC instead of MVA.

Pretty sure Translink has more pressing things to do than such trivial nonsense.

There could be incidents that don't  involve a collision. A vehicle skidding off the road may not hit another vehicle so there's no collision.

I guess we will all have to go along with this change  but  the original meaning of "accident" was simply something that happened.  And modern times people were blamed for causing an accident. Using the word accident didn't exonerate people from blame if they were at fault.
