Look at the ad for the injury lawyer!

Rumour has it that the driver of the private vehicle suffered a cardiac arrest, thereby resulting in the collision; they did not survive.

B8152 involved in a head on MVA WB Hastings just before Holdom. Looks like a SUV crossed the centre line where the impact occurred. Driver in the SUV had to have CPR performed at the scene. MVA just took place a few mins after 4pm this afternoon.

So is it a write off? Or will they fix it?

8085 lost most of its power halfway up Gaglardi today around 5:05 and shook quite a bit as it managed to crawl up the mountain. Overheard the driver saying the check engine ligt came on right before it all happened. It's supposed to be running until 1am so if you have time it might be worth checking out.

Last seen at around 5:30, for some reason briefly was on a different block? Definitely not going until 1, which makes sense if the engine was having trouble...

A red Toyota Matrix collided with a black Nissan 370Z on East 41st today. The Matrix was pushed into stopped 7234, sideswiping the bus. The bus received minor body damage from the sideswipe. The accident is currently being cleaned up.

Looks as if the damage was serious enough to take 7234 out of service? We'll find out in the next few days if this is the end for 7234?

The bus appeared to still be drivable after the accident but some body panels got pretty beat up. Who knows what could have happened to the body structure though. The end may or may not be near.

I guess the damage didn't go through the body panel and into the body structure or did but was easy to repair. I guess it just went out of service for the necessary repairs.

I got some photos of it tonight at Knight & Marine. There was a grey primer on it just behind the left rear wheel wells. Good to see it patched up rather then being retired!

7234 is back in service. The body damage has been repaired, and it will return for paint later. This is one of our "Spotted Dogs". Buses get the repairs to make them safe, then they return for paint at a later date. It's all about making service. The customer experience is important, and actually having a bus for service is of higher importance than looks.

Neil is nice to see that you guys in maintenance didn't just decide to retire it because of the damage it received! Normally with a bus that age & a majority of them retired it could've of been retired. Great job on who's decision it was to return it back to service again.

MVA in Joyce stn yesterday with 9731 and what looked like 9783. 9731 sitting in bay 3 as a 26 and the rear left side got damaged, likely another bus (9783?) passing hit it. I only saw a glimpse as I was driving the 43 and parked on Joyce st.

Spotted 7288 on a 301 which looks like fresh primer all down the left bottom quarter panel. Nice to see that they are making a effort to fix any damage then instantly retiring them because of body damage.

You mean on the 410.  When was 7288 involved in an incident recently?  It had some fresh paint when it was at STC before it transferred to HTC in 2016.

Sorry Brando meant 410. It had grey primer all on the bottom left 1/4 panel. Not sure when it was done but looked pretty recent perhaps?

The bus itself doesn't look like it was badly damaged. Only the bike rack appeared to be mangled. Will Tranlink take the opportunity to rebuild/refurbish it or will they fix the bus and send it back on the road for an other couple of years before rebuilding/refurbishing it???

If there's no damage to the body of the bus or it's integrity anywhere, they will probably just leave it as it is.  Even if there is just some minor cosmetic damage, they will probably just do a patch and send it out.

They are also busy doing the LFR's and LFS's right now so the artics might be a few more years for overhaul.  After the LFR'S and LFS's are done they will probably move onto the D60LFR'S that came in 2006 then the DE60LFR's after as they are 2009's.

Waterfront station (Expo) is closed. Someone was hit by a train pulling in. From time of posting until 9:30pm trains will have run full length to Burrard, though IDK if they will even be doing the Stadium Turnbacks (maintenance) tonight due to the incident.

8120 seems to have been pulled from 95 B-Line to act as a shuttle from Waterfront and Burrard (even though most people can just deflect to the Canada Line to Granville Station).

At around 8:35pm there was an announcement for a closure at Columbia Station (which was eventually overturned 5 minutes later; it turned out to be a mistake).
