Collisions and Incidents thread

We have been seeing all sorts of incidents with our system, mainly the jump in skytrain shutdowns.

This thread is for the discussion of Skytrain shutdowns, station closures, and etc. Etc. I suppose discussion about crime rates near skytrain stations can be posted here as well.

Some guidelines:

1) No stalls or B/O (including faulty compressors, fluid leak, flat tire) for buses, that happens every day.
2) For SkyTrain stalls, those are relatively minor unless they result in single track operation.

Anything else should be post-worthy

2567 was involved in collision with SUV at Victoria Diversion and Commercial Street. Huge delays for 20 Victoria/Downtown route because of blockage of Victoria Diversion

Ouch :( hope the involved parties are okay. Did you see the severity of the damage of 2567?

Med. Emergency at metrotown; trains single-tracking between 2 surrounding stations. Minor delays.

There was one Monday night too, at Nanaimo. That one lasted a while -- from 9:30 ish to 11:30 ish. I don't remember the exact times, just that I was listening to the radio until I went to bed and it hadn't cleared yet. I think someone had a heart attack or something on the train, since they were working on him for a while. At least it was during the maintenance so that there were fewer trains on the line. Today's messed things up quite a bit.

There was a Red India (human contact with train) yesterday at Lougheed around 4:00 PM as well. But the victim didn't end up in the guideway -- just bounced off the front of the train and back onto the platform. They never closed the station and it never disrupted service.

S8004 was involved in a collision. Sustained dents and some damage to the front and side end; also two broken windows (drivers side and drivers front windows). Didn't get a chance to take a picture.

S8007 was apparently seen emitting dark smoke @ 1:30 near KGB and 104th.

I did not see them. I heard from the PA on the train or in the station.

Why aren't Waterfront bond trains part of the slow order?

There were just a few announcements coming through on "Skyvoice" which is apparently different from the normal announcements. Also, control was making periodic announcements whenever attendants were confused as well. As for the slow order, the Waterfront-bound tracks are different from the Columbia-bound tracks, so a slow order on one side doesn't automatically mean a slow order on the other. I think I remember hearing that it was some piece of equipment the overnight maintenance crews had to leave there and it needed to be "treated with care", hence the slow order. The piece of equipment is not on the other side, hence no slow order.
