MAX BRT
which transit systems will they be serving? My guess is they still have to find buyers for them, but I don't know. Alliance Bus Group looks like a middle man. Thats why it refers to a marketing campaign to come. I'm guessing very small TAs and/or Universities. I just listened to New Flyer CEO talking about this on their quarterly conference call Q and A. He said they let the Vicinity win that award rather than compete on price since the price was not acceptable for Flyer to make money. He also said that NFI is finding that the market for a medium duty bus is smaller than they thought--only 400 to 500 buses per year.
MiExpress
Some more recent Vicinity orders from Orangeville, Ontario and Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Vicinity continues to win over the Midi in most cases, being $13,000 lower in the Orangeville bid. The Orangeville report stated that the Vicinity had a declared Canadian content of 21% while the Midi only had 8%. The Prince Albert order will be 35' buses and have stainless steel frames. It was also noted in the report Grande West hopes to have a CNG version available by the end of 2017.
