I'm more than pleased. =D

Well it's technically three, since Miami is evaluating it. They don't have any CNG buses on order at this time. HART, Jacksonville, and Lynx can physically pull it off though. Lynx and Jacksonville will have to build a fueling station for CNG though.

CNG buses can also run on Biogas which is even cleaner than CNG and Diesel. Biogas is Natural gas from renewable sources..

They might as well go for Biogas, cause every diesel bus in this state (ancient, old, and new) runs on Biodiesel.

Jacksonville Transit Authority just attempted to auction off 11 2000 Nova RTS-06s on Govdeals.com. Unfortunately, none of them sold because the reserve price was not met on any of them. All buses were stated to be running and driving. Some of the auctions have been relisted.

Buses included are:

1101: 4RKMNTGA7YR835242

1104: 4RKMNTGA2YR835245

1108: 4RKMNTGAXYR835249

1110: 4RKMNTGA8YR835251

1111: 4RKMNTGAXYR835252

1114: 4RKMNTGA5YR835255

1115: 4RKMNTGA7YR835256

1117: 4RKMNTGA0YR835258

1118: 4RKMNTGA2YR835259

1122: 4RKMNTGA4YR835263

1123: 4RKMNTGA6YR835264

Also, 1421 a 2004 Gillig LowFloor 35ft was sold off as scrap in early March. VIN: 15GGB291X41073496

I heard that JTA is getting some 40ft Gillig LowFloor Plus All-Electric buses in 2020. Not sure on how many or how many regular buses they are getting.

2708 is currently out of service and quite possible already retired. It was involved in a crash in September 2018 where the driver lost control on I-95, hit a guard rail, and the bus overturned before landing in the median hanging over the edge of an I-95 bridge. The bus sustained pretty serious body and structural damage.

Here is an article about the crash: http://gm5-lkweb.newscyclecloud.com/news/20180910/jta-bus-hangs-off-i-95-overpass-after-sunday-crash?template=ampart

Here is a picture I got of this bus back in April 2019 sitting at Coach Crafters in Tavares, Florida. It was parted out and in rough shape. I'm guessing it will not be repaired:

To my knowledge, JTA does not currently have an order for artics and I don't think they have a plan for them anytime soon.

Anyone have info on 1326 other than being a Freightliner??

Late response, I know, but I found some information on these buses.

These are Freightliner/Champion Cutaway buses with a (6.7L Diesel? engine). There were a total of twenty-six buses numbered 1301-1326. Over the past year or so that I have been keeping up with JTA, I have only been able to find 1321-1326 on the Transsee.ca tracker and were still running as of December 2019.

Per JTA's 2018 Transit Asset Management Plan, all 26 of these buses are slated to be replaced by the end of 2020. Presumably, most are already retired.

Two buses are up for sale on GovDeals:

Thanks

A lot of systems I have come upon when looking for info on the photos of buses I have shot are very out data and have little posting.

This bus for JTA system is the only one I have come across seeing so far in the last 10 years and was at a lost as what it was and seeing no info on it.

Its not the first system I have seen where something different was try to deal with low ridership and was replaced by something different at renewal time or a standard bus.

Brand new 2019 Gillig LowFloor BRTPlus CNG buses have finally fit the streets. There are at least eight that I have seen so far. Numbered 2901-2908.

Also, 2609 was recently involved in a serious crash and be out of service for awhile.
