busfreak99
Metro Transit in Kalamazoo is operated by the City. Their fleet is made up of 1998-2013 Gillig LF 35 and 40ft. Will have more pics Friday when I visit!
MVTArider
It seems very rare for TAs to put the fleet number on windows, the only other examples I can think of at the moment are U of MN PTS shuttles and some King County Metro units. I've seen a few CTA D40LF with numbers on the front window as well, but that is more due to the bike racks covering the official one. Nice photo, it's cool to see some coverage of Michigan operators! Seashore_518203
Here is a blast from the past ... this RTS (with original slope back) shot was taken at the garage in Kalamazoo in March 1980.

gmnewlook
Quebec City also puts the fleet number at the top centre of the windshield: *posted pic* Société de transport de Lévis does this too. CIT Laurentides puts their numbers on the upper right corner of the windshield where the destination sign is.

140 Southshore
A couple more vintage Metro Transit views. (source, not my photos) The 8th District Court stop as it appeared in early 1995. The same stop from nearly the same spot and same angle six years later in October 2001.
VectorPrime
Some updates to the wiki regarding Kzoo's fleet. First off, Metro Transit has rebranded as simply "Metro" (highly original). As a result, all buses have been wrapped with a new livery, the exception being 1005-1007 & 1029-1032, all of which have the "new" livery that was introduced with 1029. 1001-1004 are officially retired. Next, Metro received 5 buses in July 2019. 1035 & 1036 are Gillig Low Floor 40' and 1037, 1038, & 1039 are Gillig Low Floor 29'. Finally, Metro currently operates five ex-The Rapid buses they purchased in 2017, which they've wrapped and renumbered 1055-1059. 1055 is ex-The Rapid 269, 1056 is ex-The Rapid 271, 1057 is ex-The Rapid 272, 1058 is ex-The Rapid 274, and 1059 is ex-The Rapid 275.
