As it is has already been stated, the Gillig BRTPlus package is available in Diesel, Hybrid, and CNG. As noted in the picture you posted, JTAs 2201-2207 BRTPlus buses are Hybrids, not CNG. Lynx has all CNG. Palm Tran has Diesels. Marta has all Diesels. I think its dumb that this is a topic that is still getting brought up. Lets please just move on and keep this board focused on less petty things.

Thanks

How do you edit palm Tran on CPTDB wiki

As of 2018, the 0700 series Gillig are now retired according to Marcos A.R of youtube

Just another example why I'm active on transit forums, cause of individuals who think CPTDB is all correct, individuals who outright listen the first few times after being told something, and some who are straight up inept. Arguing with women  in their 20s-50s with massive egos is healthy and can make your hair recede.

Moving away from the GP Bus Gallery that I care about, Palm Tran sold all, but 960 to Gainesville in early 2005. Those 1995 Flxible Metros. The buses were out of service by late 2004, so they only had a 9 year career there. 960 joined its sisters in 2007 along with the 30ft Phantoms. Amazingly, the 30ft Flxibles Palm Tran sold to Puerto Rico may still be kicking around.

Did you edit palm tran roster on Wikipedia yet

There are many that are retired, but there are still quite a few in service. I check the trackers every now an then to see what is out and about. There were at lest 7 still running as of last week.

Ok, Did you use Transitalk Transportation Media Group and GP Bus Gallery websites for Palm Tran Buses?

Found out Palm Tran has finally taken delivery of new 40ft Gillig BRTPlus Diesels that are the same spec as the 2016 & 2017 models. Someone posted a picture on facebook of 2005, so there is at least a total of 6. Numbered 2000-2005. I assume there are more than that, but I'm not sure yet.

I have been watching the tracker through transsee.ca the past week and can confirm there are at least 11 new 2020 Gilligs, numbered 2000-2010.

I haven't seen any of the 2007s, so those are likely on borrowed time. I also only saw the 2008 Gillig hybrids in service.

Greetings all.   I moved to this county last year, and so have naturally taken somewhat of an interest in Palm Tran.  In addition to that, after being retired from the intercity coach business for four years, I decided to return to driving on a part-time basis.    Since Palm Tran is only looking for full-time operator's, I went with Academy, who lets me set my own scheduled availability.  Besides using the mostly Van Hool CX fleet for their charter operations, Academy also has a small fleet of older Gillig's and Nova's they use for contract shuttles for Century Village-Boca Raton.  So after never have even ridden in a Gillig, I now find myself driving them....

I am curious about the "fairing" on the roofs of the Palm Tran buses.  Since they don't cover CNG tanks, are they there just for styling? For better fuel economy? They certainly make the buses look more 'massive' than they are, and I would imagine make handling strong cross-winds a chore at times....

0904 has been scrapped by EG truck parts in miami. I am assuming that also means 0900, 0901, 0902 have also been scrapped there, as the 4 buses were sold in a lot together.

That's a shame. I'm pretty sure all 4 were still in running condition. 0905 & 0907 are the last two 2009s still in service.

Not sure how many new 2021s Palm Tran ordered now. I've been checking with the Transsee app and still have only seen 2100-2120 tracked since late last year. But I found this picture posted by Palm Tran on their facebook page of 2132. So there is at least another 12 that haven't entered service yet.

for some reason the last two ended up sideways when I uploaded them from my phone.

I do have a curious question though, anyone happen to know where I can find pictures of the older palm tran buses like the phantoms, TMC City cruiser etc, and the buses from when it was CoTran, or happen to have any pics they can share or send me?

It would be greatly appreciated if so, it's for a personal project I'm working on.
