There is a stopped train just past Lees Station (see picture on CTV Ottawa: https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/o-train-out-of-service-between-uottawa-and-tremblay-stations-1.5779086).

LRT line 1 is operating between Tunney's Pasture and uOttawa, and from Tremblay to Blair. R1 is operating between Tremblay and Rideau/Cumberland (as temporary Rideau Station).

(Earlier when the incident started up to until 11:16am, the LRT was operating between Tunney's Pasture and uOttawa; and from Hurdman to Blair)

Twitter link (without embedding the tweet to this post, due to OC's revision): https://twitter.com/OC_Transpo/status/1492501646340931584

This probably the first major LRT disruption where R1 is required for since the trucker's convoy started on January 28, 2022 (brief/minor disruptions due to medical incidents that OC reported on Twitter doesn't count).

It was expanded to Tremblay, because the electricity substation sections don't match the diversion sections. Go figure.

I caught a test train on Saturday night, and I was wondering what exactly are they testing?

To see how much faster the new ones can break down while in service...

On a serious note, they are stage 2 trains just being tested out to make sure they're functional and everything.

That is weird that they are still testing the trains they had in service for 2 and a half years, they dont plan to buy new train models for stage 2

Every train built need to go through the required inspections, testing and accumulate a certain amount of mileage before they can enter revenue service.

THANKS!! That's GREAT NEWS TO HEAR!!! No cabbing it to work Tuesday morning? Not sure about the check points though?

Getting on at Hurdman(no issue), getting off at Parliament going to work(might get stopped)but going away from Queen towards Laurier so might not be a issue??

Just show your work badge or letter from your employer if asked or if you run into a checkpoint.

You are allowed IF you live or work in the area. Since you work in the area, you would provide proof of your employment in the area.

To be fair enforcement has also been hit or miss depending on the officers' mood. Some of them aren't bothering to stop pedestrians unless it's obvious they're trying to start something \, and it's probably a good assumption that anyone looking to continue the trucker convoy's..."work" probably wouldn't be getting there on public transit.

So is it running? No issues?

OC Transpo website confirms the LRT is running the full line this morning and the Sussex entrance to Rideau Station (ie the one on the Rideau Centre corner near the Chipotle) is open. Rideau Centre itself I believe is still closed.

EDIT: Looks like the Byward entrance is also open.

OC Transpo is now reporting all incidents where they have notified the Transportation Safety Board (TSB) on a new web page they've created.

Link: https://www.octranspo.com/en/news/category/o-train-reporting-to-the-tsb

Disclaimer: The above link was actually obtained through Citizen Transit Commissioner Sarah Wright-Gilbert's tweet. I cannot find that above web page being linked anywhere else on OC Transpo's web site (except if you type in 'O-Train Line 1 reporting to the Transportation Safety Board of Canada' in the search box).
