Grand Rapids (The Rapid)

Has anyone rode the 100 Grand Rapids - Big Rapids shuttle that goes to Ferris State University?  A friend who lives in Grand Rapids is interested in it.  I'd also like to see what kind of buses are used on it.  Even though it's operated by The Rapid, it's not on the wiki page (friend also says the page is outdated).

Do you happen to know if it is operated using vehicles supplied in part by FSU or if it is solely operated using vehicles from The Rapid's urban fixed-route fleet?

Thanks -- great pics!

Kudos to The Rapid for making Gilligs look halfway decent -- although they're still mighty uninspiring to ride.

Very encouraging to see New Flyer artics. Sure signs that The Rapid continues its evolution into a major transit player -- as opposed to the backwater, forgotten-about system of yesteryear.

Imagine the possibilities if they shift to New Flyer for 40-foot buses. I'm also cautiously optimistic that a strong showing for artics on the Laker Line will lead to their eventual use on the Silver Line.

Frankly, I believe that the Silver Line has fallen short due in part (in part!) to its underwhelming equipment. Onlookers were promised "a train on tires"... when they got a regular bus at 20-30 minute headways. They can do better.

Roster-wise... can you identify which buses are 35-footers? I believe there's a few tucked into the 1000-series among the 40-footers...
