MAX BRT
First BRT line in Michigan is on its way! http://www.mlive.com...0m_bus_rap.html Looks like it is worthy of the BRT label, as buses will travel in dedicated lanes. They will stop less than 2x per mile. It will cost one tenth as much as light rail. The proposed vehicles for the Silver Line are hybrids, 40-45 feet long. 10 will be purchased. (FYI, The current fleet is made up of Gillig buses almost exclusively) The route is Division Avenue, known to local suburbanites as the ghetto. I expect gentrification to occur once the line is built, similar to what has happened to Euclid Avenue in Cleveland, thanks to BRT. This is muy exciting. For those interested, a complete list of the current fleet (including VIN numbers) can be found in Appendix C of this document. http://www.ridethera...agementplan.pdf Paratransit vehicles (Eldorados) are listed earlier, on page 11. Cool! And thanks for sharing the fleet list you found. The Rapid wiki roster has been lacking in data for a while. EDIT: I added the current fleet numbers to the Rapid wiki roster, however it still needs some editing. I'll attend to it later when I have time, unless someone else wants to do it sooner. MAX BRT
Grand Rapids bets on the success of its new bus system By Matthew Gryczan http://www.crainsdetroit.com/article/20140511/NEWS/305119999/grand-rapids-bets-on-the-success-of-its-new-bus-system The Silver Line BRT doesn't open until late August. But it looks like the new buses are in. I don't favor the Gillig BRT but hey its a hybrid and I like the interior.

MAX BRT
Those are the best transit buses (on the fastest route) in the state of Michigan. Might not be saying much, but hey, I look forward to a ride on the Silver Line hybrid.

MAX BRT
I tried copy/pasting the link in your post into the URL bar that appears when clicking on the image icon in the post reply box. I have no idea why the tags don't work though Anyways, nice photo! I'm guessing they will replace these with Gillig LF eventually? I would hope the MiDi would be considered.
