I think that it is funny that they are using that logo at the front of the bus, when an older hybrid will have STS written in big letters in the same place. What's up with that?

They only did that for 1 year. On your last Sherbrooke charter, the new buses that were parked there were the same, reverted back to the logo on the front.

Just out of curiosity. Well they continue numbering the buses by the year of manufacture +50? I this case the 2020s would be numbered 701XX.

Well it the end of the line for the CMTS/STS tokens(jetons) Due to a new multi card called (La Pratico) more about it on there website.

According to the same website, it will also be the end of paper transfers and day passes.  The STS are actually issuing three smart cards:

  • La vermeilleuse, which is a personalised Multi card, with a monthly pass or electronic wallet;
  • La pratico rechargeable, transferable and valid for up to ten rides;
  • La pratico 24 h, a transferable cardboard day pass.

The vermeilleuse PME and rechargeable pratico card offer electronic transfers for up to 90 minutes after being tapped.

I find it interesting that the STS has destination signs (similar to the ones at the back of the bus) INSIDE the buses (close to the front). I noticed that in YouTube videos.

I think they have it there to ensure customers know the route the bus is on, but why can't they do it some other way? One option that may work would be using LCD screens similar to what the TTC, MTA/NYCT and NRT use on some buses to display not only the next stop, ads and other info, but also the route and destination of the bus. I mean, it seems like it could be costly.

That probably would be quite costly but it would make sense RTC Quebec Has the same concept with LCD Screens

The STS took delivery of 6 new Hybrid buses last month 71101-71106

They have plastic passenger seats like the STM buses, they also have heated and cooled drivers seats other then that they are identical too the 7010X's (My Video) could someone add this to the wiki
