TriMet Start Roster (1971)

This was the starting roster of TriMet (Portland, OR) in 1971, as taken from the Motor Coach Age magazine from that year.

All buses built before 1971 were previously operated by Rose City Transit.

If anyone has any information as to all the buses TriMet had acquired from the "Blue Bus Lines" collective of local transit services serving cities outside of Portland (Intercity Buses, Portland Stages, Estacada-Molalla Stages, and Tualatin Valley Buses), as well as all those former Portland Traction Company buses Rose City Transit had operated between 1956-69, please reply to this topic.

Most of these acquired buses were deemed unfit for post-acquisition service after TriMet's takeover of this collective on Sept. 6, 1970.
