#8362, #8368, #8369, #8370, #8371, #8372, #8373, #8374, #8377, #8379 are unrebuilt and are still in service.

#8370, #8374 are the last two units that are still at Wilson that are unrebuilt. The rest of the unrebuilt units are at Hillcrest going through refurbishment.

Why did the TTC decide to paint all the doors black instead of matching it to the body it would loot great especially with the new livery

Two things:

They want the doors to contrast to aid visually impaired passengers in finding them.

The doors on everything from 8100 on are anodized black aluminum from the start. Paint is unnecessary. The older units were retrofitted due to galvanic corrosion problems at the bottom pivot. Some exceptions exist, especially on some 1600 series hybrids, where the original doors were kept and were just painted gloss black, for what I’m assuming were budgetary reasons.
