FIDO
This is something that, althought some have opposed it, everyone saw coming. Anyone surprised? It is a model being used in many transit systems, and knowing GRT's current difficulties with certain parts of the system, this looks like the best solution. Full article: http://www.therecord...or-rail-transit. This doesn't suprise me at all, nor should it suprise anyone else. This has been a "done deal" right from the start! All the Region is doing is "going thru the moves" so they can say "you" had public input ino the matter. Just wait until the "final costs" roll in and it's way, way over the budgeted costs! (Time to start looking at real estate outside the Region, and move!) (Lets just hope "RIM" stays around in the city and isn't swallowed up by "Samsung", or some other entity. Just think what would happen if they folded up shop and left. ................... Empty trains running past empty buildings.)

vivablue5215
Hmmm? Is "Maple Leaf Foods" (Schneiders) staying now? Did I miss something? LOL One company leaves, three comes in. Plus, Maple Leaf Foods is in Ayr, not Kitchener.
