J. Bullock
.......... For the Wiki- 8142 has new skirt panels and accents 8144 has new skirt panels and accents 8143 has not been seen with new panels or accents but I assume that this redo will happen to this bus and All Orion 5's in the DRT operating system. Megabus Rider
Done. Unit 8145 has been retired since April 2012. I forgot how to edit on wiki and won't bother to touch it. Also I notice that it states it's a 1992 model, it's actually a 1994 model and the year digit in the VIN is incorrect. According to the Region's RFP document it's a 1994 Ontario Bus Industries, Orion V (05.501) with a 6V92 engine and Voith transmission. The VIN for this bus is 2B1569771R5031872. Megabus Rider
Do you have the link to that document? Its normally somewhere on their site. Here, the best I can do is a screen shot. As for a link you have to be a registered vendor with the region to view documents. You could probably make up a bogus corporation name or something. lol Here is the builder's plate to indicate that it was built in May 1994. Sorry for the blur, it was hard taking a picture of it. J. Bullock
All of Oshawa Orion's are currently being used as driver switch-offs and School Specials. There only useful on a few routes suchas: 404 College Hill 405 Central Park 413 GO Shuttle 420 DC/UOIT 421 Townline and The Clarington Routes. I haven't seen 141 or 143 out in service since the XD's arrived... I guess they await there fate.
