Grandma Captain Trolley

Recommended Posts

Is too bad ttc did not try its BBC HR150G in 1982 the same year ets was having theirs delivered. if for the e700 replacements it would be nice to have a HR150G in the ttc colours or the CLRV colours.

The BBC's were fantastic buses. One of a kind. No where else in the world had trolleys with GM bodies. Edmonton is not the same any more.

Wow, looking for something else I encountered a thread dedicated to me being a Grandma... Since I last posted in here, I now have a granddaughter, Aria Grace' born on April 22, 2016. So now there is Logan (he will be 5 y/o in November), Carter (he will be 3 y/o in September) and Aria who is 2 1/2 months at present.  So yeah, I think Son and his wife are going to stop at three. Such wonderful grandchildren. I am so happy and so proud of them.

A former neighbor that relocated to Ireland was back in town for a brief visit and I managed to get her and my family together for a lovely lunch. Logan will be 6 in November (wearing the black Monsters Inc shirt), Carter is 4, (wearing the grey shirt), and Aria is almost 1 1/2 yrs. old. The grand kiddos are growing so fast. I can't believe it was Christmas since I last saw them.

I've attached a few pics since Murphy's Law of Photography dictates that someone will either have their eyes closed or not be paying attention.

New Jersey Public Service had at least one old-look with dual poles. It was a "dual-service" vehicle; wires in town, diesel on the suburbs.  Here is a link:

I should have been specific, I meant GM New Look.  However this Old Look is simply outstanding with poles. IMO, poles just add a certain je ne sais quoi to the general esthetics of the bus.. !!!

Are you sure it is actually a dual mode and not simply a bus modified with 'hardware' to work as an ice scraper trolley?

A comment from a friend of mine that found some info on this unit: This picture is of a prototype diesel electric vehicle. It was the only GM vehicle ever built like this, and it was converted to a standard diesel bus and served out the rest of its days as such.

Logan (my 6 y/o grandson) drew a couple of pictures, one for me and one for my mom. So I guess one officially becomes a grandma as soon as the fridge becomes a poster board for such precious creations.  Here is MY mother enjoying the picture Logan drew for her, and my fridge sporting the first of what will soon be many more precious creations,

Proud Grandma moment. Portrait of son, his wife, and Logan, Carter,  & Aria. Each year they have a portrait taken in the same location. Kinda neat.
