Bernie
They don't tow trailers in the U.S., if you look at the hitch it isn't the same as used by Greyhound Canada more like the ones on pickup trucks or cars.
northwesterner
I wonder why it has a hitch ... its used for the Lucky Strike casino run; I wonder if they pull a small trailer behind?
Blue Bus Fan
I believe I saw a G4500 refurbish or repainted on highway 1 in Surrey today, it was heading to Kelowna. Does anyone know the number of G4500 I saw in the new livery?

Does anyone know the number of G4500 I saw in the new livery? I know some of the American G4500's have been refurbish and in new colours. Did not know that any of the Canadian units were done. airwolf
None of the Canadian G's have been refurbed. If you saw a blue G, then it was a US G running a Canadian trip. It does happen but rarely. It usually happens when we have a wheelchair booking with no Canadian accessible coach available.

airwolf
There are currently three refurbed DL's operating on Vancouver Island. 6067 and 6132 are operating out of Nanaimo and 6108 is operating out of Victoria. I will try to get photos over the next several days as I work some island trips.

BCT-3122-D800-10240
Greyhound #1162 started off from a stop beside me at a set of lights in downtown Calgary yesterday with a beautiful sounding Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine and what sounded like the ZF ASTronic transmission. airwolf
Yup. She was retrofitted about 8 years ago with the ZF ASTronic Tranny. 1159 also got this retrofit.
INowKnowwhY
Got word from management that they'll finally be retiring 1315, 1319 and 1321 Niagara Falls Sightseeing coaches. As of January the 2006 MCI D4505 units 1298 (ex. Steven Harper campaign bus), 1299 and 1302 will be wrapped for Gray Line sightseeing. 1299 and 1302 will also be retrofitted with new leather seats and wifi just like 1298. I asked about power outlets and they said no because it's too expensive. I would love to see the rest of the D4505's painted in blue, they already sold off most of the H3-45's so there's no hope for those.
leylandvictory2
1315 is still kicking for now as it was spotted today at Toronto Coach Terminal. I guess the MCI with white livery backgrounds days are numbered.

Apparently thousands of dollars were dumped into her for maintenance and upkeep last year.

Most run on schedules out of Edmonton all the way to Whitehorse,Yukon and Edmonton through to Winnipeg, plus are often seen out of Prince George and Kamloops in any direction
