This thread is NOT for new Greyhound USA buses delivered in the newer livery (2009 X3-45s and newer, and newly delivered MCI D4505s). Rather, it is for older units (MCI 102-DL3s) with the newer livery. A few peculiar things to discuss... As for Unit #251, according to the wiki (http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=Greyhound_Canada_250-252) it was sporting the Gray Goose decals. Maybe when being refurbished at the time, they did not have the Burlington, ON decals on hand. As for the units transferred - I guess Greyhound Canada is just waiting for the Owner and Operator decals to arrive and then would be applied. (I have done this myself while working in a bus company, mostly on buses involved in accidents and then repaired) I am surprised that they are using Burlington, ON as their 'main office' considering Calgary, AB is their HQ! The maple leaf is over rated, it's like putting a maple leaf on Coach Canada's Megabus branded equipment but the decals do clearly state the Hub City of where it's from. The Texas plated Coaches are pooled in the Cross-Border runs such as Toronto - New York City, Toronto - Detroit and etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I photographed that a month ago at the Toronto Coach Terminal, and it was heading to Ottawa. It didn't have the white Dallas TX legals (it had black ones back near the rear wheel but I can't make out what they say from my photos) but it had a Texas plate and a red Maple Leaf under the Greyhound logo. Also, does anyone know where 6703 is from? It's a refurbished unit now in Canada but there are no 67xx coaches listed in either the Canadian or US roster on the Wiki. I know for certain that it's not the Canadian units. (1122 1125 & 1131). Will try to take notes of what unit has what transmission. Thanks very much for doing this. Here are a few of my updates as well as a few photos. Additional US Greyhound 102DL3 buses in the new colors are 6366, 6535 and 6964. Also, I have included shots of 7125, a G4500 that is in the new scheme. I had heard that Greyhound did rebuild a few G models to see if it was worth doing them. I am not sure how many were done, but 7125 is the only one that I have ever seen shots of. The photos of 7125 are taken in Dallas, TX in April of this year. mcooknell Posted November 29, 2011 Report Share Posted November 29, 2011 The tint is most likely different due to 'improper installation'. The outside is typically slightly darker than the inside but due to the lighting in the shop it can be difficult to differentiate between the inside/outside as there is no markings to determine inside/outside. As for the duct tape on the G.. They're rather notorious for having the clips wearing which casues the window to rattle. If you've ever ridden one you'll know what I'm talking about. Most likely a clip was worn enough to warrant passenger complaints to which the driver most likely would've applied duct tape until the unit reached the shop. He should also have a look at the Photo Quality section as well. Photos taken on mobile phones are generally discouraged, even if they have somewhat higher-end quality such as the one he uses. I left on the return to Edmonton at 14:15 Saturday afternoon. I did one other the week before. I arrived so late that I ended up delaying my departure on that trip back by 90 minutes.
