NICE has received Gilligs up to #2037. The highest unit in service is now #2032. More units on the way.

Don't say that. NICE will put ads on their newer buses.  I just started seeing passenger wraps on NICE buses. Although, I don't frequent the queens/long island area.

Any idea of when the first option order will be allowed to commence? #2080-2119?

2011 Orion 7.501 NG CNG #1814 has been repainted and now also sports a new Gillig-esque taillight on the AC compartment.

Also 2012 Orion 7.501 EPA10 3G CNG #1875 now sports a half a NG front door, just like 2011 Orion 7.501 NG CNG #1838 (which has a 3G door, smh).

Any word on NICE negotiations with the county. I believe the contract for NICE ends at the end of this year if I’m correct?

That's what I'm wondering also. I'm also wondering when those XE40s are supposed to come as well as the CNG Gillig options.

I'm thinking it might have been quietly renewed without much fanfare tbh.

Cause if the MTA or another entity was taking over, that would have been on the news.

There is a zero percent chance of the MTA coming back in and taking over the Nassau bus system.

Never say never.

2011 Orion 7.501 NG CNG #1839, rewrapped (repainted white, then rewrapped) and now sports several security cameras similar to the 2012-2013 Orion 7.501 EPA10 3G CNGs. First NG (That I know of) to have them. Didn't think the 2011s would get them. Guess we have to see if anymore NG 1800s get them.

Have you or anyone else heard about the status of the XN60 fleet? If they are doing well or if NICE will buy more of these buses?
