School Bus 101

What's the highest 3300 series bus that we know of ?? Highest that I have seen is 3357, a short body Freightliner Thomas. I have never seen 3354-3356 and have no clue what type of vehicles they may be. Actually, let's do it this way, what 3200's and 3300's do we know of that are not listed on the Wiki? If anyone knows, please list what they are with fleet numbers.

No, not at all. I know of 091163, but I haven't come upon a 091102 just yet.

Just found notes on 090927 as well, same as 091102....

I do have 091163 & 091164 listed on the Wiki.

I figure some of these have been sent away to other communities after arriving at the yard in Calgary. That used to happen a lot when I worked there.

Just found 2640 and 2641 in my notes, both as Thomas FS-65's with a 72 Passenger capacity. Again, no black rub rails.

Just found notes on 090927 as well....

I have several buses in that numbering series in my notes/images. These include 090926, 090931, 090933, 090937, 090939, and 090979. All are IC CE 200's.

Many of these I kind of remembered seeing, but didn't have notes to comfirm. With your notes, this helps greatly and they have all been added. Still yet to go through many more images that should help fill in some more holes.

More good news. I have found several Bluebird Internationals in my notes:

All are 3800/T444E and have a 72 passenger body.

More notes to come.

As promised, more sightings.

085430 - Thomas Minotaur? 24 Passenger

UPDATES REGARDING LISTED BUSES

1696 has a wheel chair lift

2750 was involved in a crash 11 months ago and I have no idea if it got retired or not as it sustained some damage to the front

2836 had about half of its seats removed

Thanks. I am bascially adding any 36 passenger and larger units to the Wiki at this point. Cutaways will be done later as time permits or someone else can add the info if they wish to do so.

Updates to already listed units are not being done for now unless someone else decides to add the info to the wiki themselves

As for 085479, Do we know how long the body is on this unit?

I couldn't really tell due to the weird placement of the wheel chair lift. Maybe you can tell?

I also discovered 6220 in my notes. It is a yellow 2008 C2, 72 passenger. Oh, and I do recall a bus numbered 2676. It was a Thomas FS-65 and it was a 72 Passenger bus.

Next item I am ready to work on, what larger sized School Buses numbered in the 5 and 6 digit series numbering system are still missing from the Wiki page?

Also, found several units in Grande Prairie last month that are not listed. Several units will fill in a few more gaps in the Wiki, though I did not see any of the 6 digit series units up there at all that I can recall off hand.

Great Timing! I discovered today that 121224 has been repainted to school bus yellow. I have also discovered a C2 numbered 120953. Images are below.

The 2012 white Thomas EF's are missing as well as the 1301** C2's.

Were you there today? Cause I found those two today at around 1100 today!

I did see several of the 1307xx series C2's when I was there today as well as 131368. Made lots of notes that I will note in this thread in a bit.

Yes, I was there today.

Hmmm, what a coincidence. I got a picture of 1404 as well today. Did you get a picture of 2988? It was near the fueling station when I was there. Were 2558 and 1692 near 1404 when you were there?

I did see 2988, but no image. Do you have one to add to the Wiki for that bus?

And yes, 2558, 1692 were all there when I was there too. Images of them are already posted to Wiki as well as 1404. #120953 looked like it had been towed in from somewhere. Notice some of the duct tape was still on it covering up part of the name on the side of it.

I do not have a good image of 2988. It turned out very blurry.

Did you notice any of these buses?

Yes, I did see both of those buses and made notes on them. I believe I posted on here previously about 178. It's a former Edmonton based First Student unit.

Next up, attached are several photos showing some of my observations from my visit to Grande Prairie last month.

#'s 2596 and 2563 are posted to the Wiki page, but the rest are not good enough to post over there, so I am sharing them in this post.

Would it be alright if these 2 photos were added to the WIKI?

2478 - http://www.flickr.co...41988/lightbox/

3293 - http://www.flickr.co...51051/lightbox/

Oh, and where is 3001 based? I am assuming it is based in Grande Prairie but I just want to clarify this.

3001 was in Grande Prairie last month when I was up there.

2478 is too grainy and will not be added to the Wiki.

3293 has been added, but it may be considered bad quality as well... So we shall see how that goes.

Here's an image of 3298 captured last month: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-images/8103951637/

Now, the next thing I want to work on is missing buses from the Wiki in the 2800's.

So if anyone knows what they are and where they're based, please let us know with as much info as possible.

The only one of those that I know of is 2825. It is a Bluebird International 3800/DT466 and it looks the same as 2820-2824. I believe that it is based in the North Yard but it may have been moved to the Blackfoot Trail Yard. Here is a picture of the rear of 2825.

May I ask where the photos of 2271 and 2830 were taken?

Thanks! I will add that one in. I thought I had seen that one, but wasn't sure. Again, I don't like to add units unless I have notes or photos of them as it's easy to mix a number up without having notes or images on them. So this is appreciated.

May I ask where the photos of 2271 and 2830 were taken?
