assigned a new recruiter and was told i passed my medical (completed on july 25) and told to wait for my MTO letter.

in meantime, i will be completing my shadowing assignment so it will be completed by the time my MTO letter arrives. thus, submitting both at the same time.

I'm assuming i should receive the MTO letter within the next week or so since the progression of this process is usually between 3 to 4 weeks before moving onto another task

Does anyone know what the hours are for training? Mine starts at 6:30am but are they 12 hr training dates or 8 hrs long?

Also, is it a automatic failure if you hit a curb/etc etc? Is it possible to take a day off/call in sick too or does that result in automatic failure too?

Usually weekdays 7am-3pm. Some are nights. Not sure how many.

If you're off sick then you will get held back and have to join another training group

Curb mount during regular training days will result in an unsatisfactory remark. Get 2 and you're out.
Curb mount during an exam will result in automatic failure.

No, i have not been assigned a training start date.

I'm still waiting on my MTO letter in the mail. without that i cannot get my training start date. note: I've completed my medical on july 25, 2022. im hoping it comes this week!

i have, however, been given a shadow assignment, which i am still in the process of completing.

There is one evening drive in bus training done on a friday night. Streetcar driving is done in the evening to lower the impact of having noobs being in the way of scheduled service.

My streetcar training has been 7am to 3pm everyday. They need you to train you to drive in traffic. We started driving in light traffic areas first like Kingston road and the beaches. Then started doing the core routes.

Yay, screw up the morning traffic even more.  Those rolling roadblocks need to go. ?

Morning doesn't seem to have a rush hour in the dt core anymore. It's pretty light traffic. I think people are on vacation or still not back at the office yet.

It looks like there are a few of us waiting on training dates now. I wonder what’s the hold up?

I asked ttc the other day, and she told me "there are over 100 candidates ahead of you, so U have to be patience right now" that's what she said.

So i just wonder guys who got training date, how long did they wait for...

All of you have to be patient, it normally takes at least 9 months from start to finish. You will not have any free time once it begins, so enjoy your time off now. Your life will change.

Hello Everyone! This thread has been so helpful! I just got my division and start date for training. This may be a silly question (Or asked before) but this question is for candidates who is in class now - how does business attire look like? I just don’t want to come too business or the opposite? Thanks again and GOOD LUCK to everyone! ?

I just wore dress pants, button up shirt, and a business tie, with black shoes (not sneakers) .
