TTC Application Process

If you have sleep apnea but it falls within the safety standards for MTO or is currently being actively treated (either via BiPap or CPAP) then you should be fine. However in some cases they still ask for a follow up specialist appointment so they can see you are using your device and don't need further treatment. I was told regardless of my level of sleep apnea I need a follow up at least every couple of years .

I was informed at my Medysis appointment that I need to see a sleep specialist.

I guess I'm just lucky I don't need to see a specialist...

Hello, I've a question regarding the training date. Can we request the training date to me moved to another date (like 2-3 weeks later from the training date).

I looked through the pages to find a similar request any of the fellow members of this group made to the TTC hiring team but couldn't find anything. I've my documentation next week (May 25, 2018) and I believe, going by the timelines of others, there is a 2 weeks gap between documentation and training date.  Due to some personal reasons, I'm leaving out of the country and will be back in July first week. I'm hoping the HR team gives me an extension of 3 weeks to join training. Any input is appreciated

As long as you have a legit reason it's no problem. I had mine delayed too due to school

TTC cancels weekend subway closure

Quote

Ross said the TTC plans to hire at least 100 new operators on top of its existing complement of about 5,000, and by July the agency should have enough workers to operate shuttle buses.

Seems that the TTC is pretty hard up for drivers. Which i'm assuming is why I was sent an invitation to attend the aptitude test + possible interview... Mine is Thursday morning at 8:00am, anyone else sent an invitation of attendance?

Also, looking at the timeline above, do you think it will still be accurate if they are in dire straits to hire all these new operators? I would assume it would be fast-tracked to have everyone trained by July...

They will most likely Build up their training holding pools because as of right now there doesn't seem to be many people left waiting to be trained. I can tell you from experience that this may be subject to Medysis' processing times as myself and others have noted there have been days where the facilities were overwhelmed and had to be sent home only to return another week.

Lol.....seriously. Hey Deepak, maybe send your coordinator an email and ask for an update. I asked mine a question by email after my interview and they responded right away. If they don’t respond to you then it’s prob a bad sign.

You guys need to be patient....

It's a long process and the speed should be speeding up cuz they need drivers...

But still, tons and tons of ppl apply so it's very time consuming

Anyone willing to advise us on the route of the road test?

I feel like the routes would vary based on the division you are assigned to ? At the end of the day regardless of the route, reading what everyone has said above ~ these instructors really train you for anything and everything so it shouldn't matter :)

My opinion is if references have not been contacted after 3 weeks you are not being hired.

When was your interview?

Buddy.  If references are not contacted within week it means negative. Sorry but that’s the reality.

He will not be getting the job as he most likely repeated himself moronically over and over during the interview.

It's great to read lot of good information here. I just had one question. For everyone that has the aptitude test and interview on the same date what attire typically you suggest one goes in?
