Depending on the results of your medical, and/or police check...remember they are two seperate entities and both take time to process.  TTC must receive both results before proceeding to documentation, so hypothetically it can be as soon as couple of weeks to months.

Applied April 18, 2018

I had my Information Session, Written Test and Interview on : May 24, 2018

I Got my Conditional offer : May 24, 2018

Now Getting My Medical on: June 12, 2018

I will tell you all the update after that

I was wondering the same thing. I completed my medical on May 7th. Police check came in the same week. Now just waiting for documentation. The medicals said it can take 4-6 weeks for them to send the results to ttc.

Keep in mind, TTC has no control in regards to medical results.  Medysis will send your results over when everything is cleared (ie:drug test), and only then TTC can schedule documentation.  If for some reason they need more tests, then TTC will put your application on hold.

Like me I was MVM so have both. I'll stick with my 2pm finish instead of nights and crappy off days. I unfortunately made the mistake of doing the dealer route....no pension and terrible benefits. Stupid me stayed 15+ years till I smartened up.

Good to have those licences as a plan B anyway.

Thankfully, while my apprenticeship was in private fleets outside (glad it was, in hindsight) I hired on with the commission 3 months after getting my ticket. Got most of the brutal shifts out of the way when I was single and in my 20s. 14 years in, and I’m finally looking at a “normal” work week, and on track to be free and clear with a full pension at 53...if I can stomach it that long.

Hah, the way my system is rigged, I'm out in my sixties. Hopefully the arthritis isn't too severe to turn the steering wheel by then.

Nice. I decided to get out because my feet were killing me everyday.....then again I see guys in the garage now who can barely walk. I saw a guy the other day using his tool cart as a walker.. .didn't want to end up like that. ☺

I thought the medical results were ins very quickly, as the conditional offer said drug test results would be available in 2-4 days, and the rest of the results are recorded the day of your medical

Through the assessments at Medysis, they will determine that day from the Dr. onsite what or not you need to see a specialist regarding other health concerns they detect. If no concerns, your file gets a green light, pending the outcome of the drug test. Once the drug test comes back to Medysis and has red flags, TTC will get sent your medical file to schedule documentation.

Yeah the process has changed. Interviews on the spot at the info session and conditional offers too. Also you don't have to do the job shadow assignment either.

I am new here. Curious of my process too, so searching internet about the future of being transit operator with TTC.

My application - I applied somewhere in Feb 2017. Got an Information session invitation on April 24. Missed that because of some reason. Emailed HR for re-invitation.

Got second chance on May 23,2018 and I can say lucky chance because of same day face to face interview & got through it. Did my medicals on 28th May. now waiting for Police Clearance Certificate.

I know it's a silly question, Is it easy to drive for 8-10 hours everyday with different kind of moody customers?

You'll have to deal with many challenges both inside and outside the bus. 

Cars may cut you off, some passengers may not be in the cheeriest of moods but the main thing to remember is not everyone is a rotten apple. 

Patience is key, not taking customer frustrations personally is also key. The positive attitude you are able to emit can easily turn any situation around. After all, the main reason we are all getting hired is not for driving, it's for customer service .

They will let you know day of before you leave if  you are ok or need more testing.  I had high blood pressure, so Medysis wanted another assessment from my family doctor.  I made an appointment next day and was prescribed some pills to lower it and was reassessed the next week, sent the results to Medysis and about a month later got the call for documentation, again depending on what's wrong, it could take a few weeks to months.

I'm assuming references, Sin number but don't know the whole list. And do they just call or also email? I have not good reception sometimes on cellular. Hope not to miss any call.

driving during the snow storm and tight roads are something you have to get used to.  Eglinton avenue is very tight and unforgiving.

They will call to confirm documentation date, then an email will follow with all necessary documents to bring.

Have a oversee flight on 10th June. bought months ago for 3 weeks to see my parents and family after 2 years. I'm not sure worth to go and open my phone roaming. 

1)If I finish all medical results, police clearance, and documentation done until 10th, I'd go and wait a call from there. If I get called for training, I'd find a one way ticket to return in 2 weeks. 

2)If medical, police clearance and documentation are not done till my flight day, probably I cancel or postpone (don't know when) my flight. 

Any recommendations?

Anyone familiar with the Eglington division? I feel like this division will have the toughest routes and people lol
