I’m going to assume it’s to compensate for the 321 running on a 30 minute frequency for most of the day

Along with the fact that a standard bus can only hold 15 passengers total.

I would think that it is in order to comply with Physical Distancing regulations like you mentioned, and also to hold more passengers. As well, because it is longer, it is easier to stay 6 feet away from others in an artic.

About 8:40-8:45 this morning, I was on my bike and saw a B81?? signed as 99 "TO GRANVILLE / B-LINE". Rare short-turn, if the destination sign is correct.

Probably a shuttle for help with crowding. The 49's have been having shuttles between Metrotown stn and Cambie st.

Saw 19023 on the 257 this afternoon. Not sure how rare it is to see a RapidBus on the 257 at this point, but still thought it was worth pointing out.

Didn't catch the fleet # but I saw a BAE Nova on the 100, it doesn't show up on T-Comm.

19040 was on the 240 today, and 8122 was on the R5. Looks like they had a bit of a switcheroo ;)

That is a weird sighting. I can't picture an artic running through Brookswood... or especially rural South Surrey.

There seems to be recurring sightings of artics:

Signed on or swapped in mid-run: 321, 430, 640 (Weekday PM only), 160, 701

Unlisted: 28, 210 (AM only), 531, 319

These are from what's been spotted so far this service change

Saw it turning onto 152. Don’t know where it started the trip.

Wish this would become a permanent thing once things slowly get back to normal.

It's happening every weekday between Langley Ctr and White Rock Ctr.

Saw “19 To Broadway” on Kingsway this afternoon.

I've been seeing these diesel buses running on the 19 (I have a good view of Kingsway from my work-from-home station), but when I look them up on the Radar app or T-comm, I don't see them listed.

I rode one of these 19 "To Broadway" buses a few weeks ago. I expected the driver to turn left onto 10th, but he continued to Broadway, where he announced the bus will continue to Main Street Station. Is this still happening with these "to Broadway" buses?

It would depend on the run/driver, those Nova 19's would be gap buses dealing with pass ups.  So, if one got to Broadway still full and the people want to go to the Skytrain it would make more sense to take people down the hill rather than dump them at Broadway and overload the next regular 19.  If, however , all the passengers got off to get a 99, then it would make sense for the bus to go out of service at Broadway.
