Does anyone know why the 145 is running out of BTC today? There are also 5 artics on the 701.

Saturday schedule today, and artic 701s are only seen on boxing day as people in maple ridge flock to coquitlam centre to do boxing day shopping (not to mention, Popeyes in Coquitlam might throw a small wrench into 701 service levels today)

Maybe not that special, but 4 more buses were added to line 601 this afternoon to help move crowds from Tsawwassen Mills.

16125, 2x ISL D40LF, and 8013.

South Delta to Ladner Exchange only.

8013 was on the 620, not 601 from what I know. I have a pic of it (driven by CJ) around 6pm.

This doesn't have much to do with Translink but I was at Cypress Mountain earlier this evening and I spotted what looked to be a New Flyer D30LF doing what seemed to be a parking shuttle. The pictures aren't great as I was in a moving vehicle but if anyone know anything about it I would love to know more about it.

Yup I was up skiing there on sunday and had a surprise ride on that to the lower highway lots. Much better than walking in ski boots...

Edit: I should add that it's one of the bowen island express units, likely contracts out to cypress off of peak hours when there is no bowen traffic.

Bowen Island Transit service. They are responsible for running this service, which CCL previously ran with an ex-CMBC D40HF. For this service, Bowen Island alternates between this bus and a larger Blue Bird depending on ridership. The Orion is exclusively for Horseshoe Bay runs but this little thing is currently doing that because Orion is broken.

18459 just hauled a bunch of people wearing safety vests into Metrotown Station. Saw a lot of training shuttles running around Burnaby today so I'm not sure if it has anything to do with that.

Sounds to me like route training for the 49/430

Note that there is also a C40LF in there.

This is old, but on 12/30/16, I saw B9652 on the 95 B-Line.

The 40' buses were on the 95 because the artics couldn't make it up the mountain. In fact, as per CPTDB Wiki, 9790 operated the last 135 SFU on December 19, 2016.

Not exactly a rare sighting since VTC novas has appeared on there when it was out of VTC

This particular unit may have appeared on there while it was still at vtc also

It is a rare sighting because the 49 is a artic route except for one block which is served by HTC

I've seen the occasional RTC 40' bus running 49 either when ridership is extremely low or, the most likely scenario, a 40' that just finished a 480 to UBC needs to get to Metrotown to do a 430 to Richmond
