Broward County Transit 2019 Gilligs (20XXX series) are now in revenue service from last week. They featured the new 2019 paint scheme and front roof fairing that looks similar to Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority buses.

Are they repainting the other buses 18 and earlier or is this just for new buses?

i was able to fan BCT for a few days in early march, finally uploaded my pics now. Here is what i noticed.

Some 02/03 gilligs are still running on weekdays, not many seem to be out on weekends anymore. They are hard to find outside of rush hours. I was able to get a pic of 0215 on the 30. IMG_20200412_233727_301.thumb.jpg.f7bde30b3a56677f7664cb203104559a.jpg

The new gilligs are also running, i did see a few although i didnt get a chance to ride one. I didnt notice any out on weekends, they seem to only be out on weekdays for now. Here is a pic of 20032 at the terminal.

The old gilligs may be back when regular weekday schedule returns. By any chance does anyone know if the 1800s and older buses will be getting the new scheme or will they keep the breeze livery?

I absolutely do not understand BCT's new paint scheme on their Gilligs. Looks straight out of 1990... like it started as TriMet's "new" scheme -- until an intern in Livermore spent 15 minutes 'adjusting' it for Fort Lauderdale.

Then again, for a halfway decent transit system, BCT has never had a great paint scheme.

My archives contain few photos of BCT vehicles... but I like this pic of 9730:

IMG_1617.thumb.JPG.0adec07164fd5452cc0d2c469caee3ca.JPG

Like most transit systems in the Sunshine State, BCT was a Flxible stronghold throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. They went through a "transition" phase in the mid/late 1990s after Flxible's demise, which produced exactly one order apiece of Gillig Phantoms and New Flyer D40LFs.

9730 made it to the "honeycomb" paint scheme. She sits here on layover, approaching retirement age, staring into the distance, wondering what it would have been like had BCT become New Flyer turf. I believe these were the only "regular" (i.e. non-enhanced, non-BRT "A", non-Xcelsior) New Flyers to operate in South Florida. Y'all missed out -- these could have done great from PalmTran to Coral Gables...

And Broward County Transit Purchased another 4 2020 New Flyer XD60s Xcelsior #20191-20194 without the tip in windows. It looks very different from the 2014 Models. This was spotted with the parts missing at New Flyer Plant in Alabama (Formerly North American Bus Industries plant)

FYI, the fleet number on that XD-60 (20092) is incorrect.  That number actually belongs to a Gillig.  Ironically, I had just passed by the real 20092 (on line 55 at the layover on Commercial Blvd/NW 94 Av) to go to a McDonald's in the shopping center there, once in the McDonald's and waiting for my order, I read the Facebook post and was like "What the..." ?

Obviously, BCt had a change of plans after taking the pic.  The XD-60s will actually be numbered 20191-20194.  I haven't seen any of them on the street yet.  Line 72 (Oakland Park Blvd) uses mostly artics, and I pass by that street often, so hopefully one will turn up there soon.

Below is the pic I took of the "real" 20092 (Cell phone pic on the fly, so not great quality).

According to Transsee, all of the 2020 XD60s are at Copans yard waiting for Acceptance

Yes, they are parked in the northwest corner of the yard.  You can actually see them if you are driving northbound on the Turnpike (qucik look only!) ?

What about the Restored Flxible New Looks, Metro's ,35ft  Gm New Looks, Gillig Phantoms, Low Floors and 1997 New Flyer D40LFs and 2006 D60LFRs in the Historical Fleet collection?

You might want to check your sources on this... according to the wiki, most of the buses you listed have been sold/auctioned off. And as far as i know, BCT doesnt have a historic fleet.

I already checked the sources on Wikipedia for the correct roster.

According to the wiki, there are 16 pre-2009 nabis remaining at BCT. The remaining units are: 0501, 0506, 0511, 0512, 0710, 0720, 0724, 0736, 0744, 0803, 0808, 0816, 0818, 0819, 0828, 0839 .

Of these units, 3 are currently tracking in service: 0803 on the 88, 0808 on the 14, 0828 on the 9.

Has anyone spotted or tracked any of the other buses on that list recently, espescially the 05's?

Are these pre-2008 NABIs will be sold to other operators in North and Central Florida yet after retirement

The 2020 New Flyer XD60s are now in revenue service this week. All of the units has Voith D864.6 Transmissions except for 2018 and 2020 Gillig BRT Diesel buses according to Marcos A.R and Transit PLUS+ on YouTube. @Chao-Hwa Chen had falsely edited the wrong information for 2018 And 2020 Gilligs that has Allison B400R Transmissions on CPTDB Wiki and he forgets to edit that 2018 Gillig were the last buses to be delivered in the 2006-18 Brezze Livery and 2020-present livery on newer Gilligs.
